We still have a few finalists left to announce in the iluvBB contest who are competing for their own chance to win a Bold 9700 or Storm (and more!), but if you didn't get in on that one you can have another go. It is a great thing to be able to create personalized ring tones for special people in our lives. Great concept and idea.
While I appreciate the contest, I do not appreciate the fact you have to install Ringtone Expressions software in the M$ Windows environment. It would not install in Linux using WINE. Please, people, make something for those who prefer Linux.

What's up with this "contest". First, you are limited to Windows software from Ringtone Expressions (no love for Mac or Linux). Second, what the application does is just simple clipping of an MP3 file. I thought this is a contest seeking for true innovation and asking musicians like me to sequence/mix a ringtone with our very own synthesizers/software or true instruments. Just like the iluvBB contest, heavy camera work and video editing skills are required... when do we audio freaks get to show off our skills.
Besides I am pretty sure it isn't completely legal to "ringtone" some MP3s (no matter you've bought them or not).
I'll pass.

Aw, too boad this contest didn't come last week. The software looks really cool. Being a Verizon user, winning a Bold 9700 wouldn't help me at all, but trying out the software looks like fun.
