It is a great thing to be able to create personalized ring tones for special people in our lives. Great concept and idea.

While I appreciate the contest, I do not appreciate the fact you have to install Ringtone Expressions software in the M$ Windows environment. It would not install in Linux using WINE. Please, people, make something for those who prefer Linux.

What's up with this "contest". First, you are limited to Windows software from Ringtone Expressions (no love for Mac or Linux). Second, what the application does is just simple clipping of an MP3 file. I thought this is a contest seeking for true innovation and asking musicians like me to sequence/mix a ringtone with our very own synthesizers/software or true instruments. Just like the iluvBB contest, heavy camera work and video editing skills are required... when do we audio freaks get to show off our skills.

Besides I am pretty sure it isn't completely legal to "ringtone" some MP3s (no matter you've bought them or not).

I'll pass.

Aw, too boad this contest didn't come last week. The software looks really cool. Being a Verizon user, winning a Bold 9700 wouldn't help me at all, but trying out the software looks like fun.

Make me download a trial version of something that I wont use because there are free ringtone makers that do the same thing as your app.

Your app is very expensive!!$1.95/month or $24.95!!! Wow, you can make ringtones for free at zedge.net and other sites.

Plus your own rules state we have poor odds of winning based on you the provider of the contest!

But, Kevin! Help! I can't post in the forums! I clicked login, and it took me back to the forums home page, and not a login page. So I went in to reply to a thread, and it told me to either login or register. I clicked login, and it took me to my "profile" page, or whatever you want to call it. I clicked on the link to take me to the forums, and it said I was not logged in still. I didn't know where else to post this, because I can't get in the forums to say anything.

Addendum: I also tried to register for a new account so that I could post my problems in the forums, but it did not allow me. It said something about the page address getting caught in a redirect loop. It started some time between October 23rd and yesterday. I can still log in and post on my phone, but I can't do it on my computer.

I wonder if you delete all your crackberry.com cookies in Firefox (if that's what you use) and log in again would correct the problem. I had an issue a couple of nights ago and did that very thing - all is well now.
