Wheres My Phone

We have posted on Wheres My Phone in the past and it has just been updated to version 3, adding some nice enhancements.  The application is used to send remote commands to your BlackBerry for such tasks as triggering an audible alarm, battery level check, and GPS location request.  New features in this build include remote contacts download, SMS integration, and remote disabling of the device. The other nice thing about this app is that you pay a one time fee, no monthly or annual service fees. You can pick up Where's My Phone in the CrackBerry App Store for $3.99 for all devices on OS 4.2.1 and up.

Contest: We have 100 copies of Wheres My Phone to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries wont count.

There are those rare instances where it's not attached to my hip, but every once in a while, I'll misplace it and wait for an email to come in so I can find it by its sounds.

My GF dropped her BB during this year's Mid-Atlantic Snowpocalypse on the way back from hiking to the store. We pretty much thought it was a wrap until I remember that I installed the trial version on her Curve about 2 weeks prior.
I sent her an email - and retraced our steps.
To my surprise, I found it screaming in a snow drift covered by about 1 inch of snow 3 blocks away from her condo. It must have tumbled out of her pocket when we tried to navigate a snow bank. Still w/o this app, we probably would have never found it.

Perfect for a college student... I cant count how many event or group invites i get on fb saying "lost my blackberry... Pins and numbers" or "Blackberry stoeln"

My phone slipped between the seats. . .on silence took me awhile to find the thing. . This would be great if it could trigger an audible alarm!

I just lost my phone this weekend skiing. I eventually found it but this app woulnd't have had me pacnicked for 3 hours

This is one of the best apps on my phone really useful and reliable. Would love to win a copy of the upgrade...

I'm currently on my 4th blackberry in the course of a year. 2 of them I lost, the other got stolen. This would be perfect for me

Had my holster break and had the BB shed itself from my body while on a long walk with my wife. So we ended up retracing the route and phoning from here cell every 100 ft or so. This would have made the chore much easier.

Nice looking app and I like the one time fee structure. Would make great use of a copy. Thanks to the developer and Crackberry!!

Dude, where's my phone? Oh wait, I know, let me check with my "Where's my phone app"...I want one, please and thank you

I believe this app will find fans, esp those who, like me, always leave their BB lying around either at home or in the office. Bad habit but we know that habit won't change... So, welcome Wheres My Phone!

My girlfriend lost her BB a month or so ago. Could have really used this then. And I truly could use this myself right about now. Hope I'm LUCKY!

this would be a good alternative to smrtguard. i'm just curious if they have a web interface that is as nice as smrtguard's.

As always, a day late and a dollar short... but at least I'm posting a comment. This really is a cool app....

A few weeks ago, when I lost my phone and for the life of me I could not find the darn thing... Come to find out, my mother, who has the same device had grabbed mine instead of hers by accident... LOL! Please pick me... Maybe I'll at least know when my phone is kidnapped!
