WhereIs...? is a little venue discovery app. A neat app for when you're in unfamiliar places, you can search for the nearest convenience store, petrol station, food place and more. The app has just received an update. Users have been requesting features and being a responsive developer, he has implemented a few user suggested features. On top of that it has also recently received Built for BlackBerry certification.

What's new in v1.2.0?

  • NEW: more categories!
  • NEW: more search radius
  • NEW: free text search!
  • NEW: made some small UI improvements
  • NEW: Built for BlackBerry certified!
  • FIXED: active frame layout on Z30
  • FIXED: some minor things

It's a useful app and it differs from similar apps in that it gives you the data visually by presenting you with a map instead of just a list, which some folk do prefer. If you're an existing user, the update is free. If you're looking to check it out, WhereIs...? is available for all BlackBerry 10 devices and costs $0.99.

What is with all of these one word generic responses to every article now-a-days?

Like seriously, the article is about an app, the first response is "great." The article is about a transition in the way BB does business, the first response is "interesting." The article is about a tv show that uses a BB phone, the first response is "cool."

I guess that's the new "first" lol. :-D

I just downloaded and it appears to work even if you don't use foursquare.

Yes, works. I haven't used foursquare ever but this one is really great. I would say the developer found the useful part of foursquare. :D

A petrol station is a gas station where gas is like 6 pounds per liter... Seriously, we can't complain about gas prices in the USA if you see how bad it is in Europe...

Keystone would be a good thing, no doubt, oh well maybe not so much for those people who pay 6 pounds for a liter of petrol, but Seriously, ride the tube, get dammed bicycle, or maybe a Vespa, love those things.
