Polarbear is one of my must have apps on BlackBerry 10. It allows me to push out a message to multiple social networking accounts in one go. It really should be an app to have if you have accounts with the various social networking sites out there. Polarbear already has quite a nice selection of social network sites under it's belt but the developer is looking to add some more and he is reaching out to the community to choose the next one to be added.

At the moment these are the current social networks and blogging services you can push out to - Twitter, Facebook Profiles, Google+ Profiles, LinkedIn Profiles, Facebook Pages, Tumblr, Blogger (Blogspot) and App.net. And these are the social networks Polarbear would like you to choose from.

  • BBM Channels
  • WordPress.org (Self-hosted blogs)
  • WordPress.com
  • Facebook Groups
  • LinkedIn Company Pages
  • Webhooks (User-defined HTTP callbacks)
  • Email
  • Sina Weibo
  • Renren
  • Yammer
  • Evernote
  • Foursquare
  • VKontake
  • Mixi
  • Xing

Voting opens today (Sunday 19th January) and will be open for two weeks. While comments are welcome, voting must be made on Polarbear's website to be counted so if you want to make a vote be sure to click the link below. The social network with the most votes will be implemented into the next update of Polarbear.

If you haven't checked out Polarbear you can take a look at our hands on video. Polarbear is available for all BlackBerry 10 devices and costs $0.99.

Just voted and BBM is in the lead with 41.18%,Get out there and vote ,maybe it would make a difference and blow everybody away. +_+ Just checked again BBM has fallen to 34.8% with 20 votes cast,

I want Polarbear to be made in Cascades, not this laggy Adobe AIR. Not saying that the app is slow, in fact the dev has actually optimized it quite a bit, but no app can be as quick as a Cascades app.

Would be nice if gopgle+ and Facebook would run smoothly. Often it's impossible to post there :(
Not sure whats going on but I'm waiting for an upgrade.

Evernote and Foursquare. Pinterest, Vine, and Instagram for future consideration.

I used my Z10 to create this CrackBerry madness!

1. XING - it's one of the most important business networks. - 2. Facebook Groups would be great, too. - 3. BBM Channels is a must have for a native BlackBerry App.

Would prefer they fixed the other issues first. Placing the cursor to enter more text when sharing a link in near impossible, and spell check doesn't work when sharing links.

Because if Polarbear I always chuckle when I see the Built for BlackBerry sign. Clearly the bar isn't very high!

I didn't know such a thing existed. My social apps consist of twitter and.... well that's it. no need.

BBM Channels would be cool but QuickPost is way better. Especially since it allows you to post pics to multiple sites unlike Polar Bear.

Who knew email was a social network. I like the idea of Polar Bear. But I don't feel compelled to buy it yet.

LOL.
I would rather have FEWER 'social network' sites.
The list in the post shows FIFTEEN+ options

Email ('social' but not a 'site') is enough for me! :)
Did you ever hear of the telephone as another option?

Pictures first before anything. It would be nice to connect to WordPress in a quick blog entry. I don't see how BBM channels is in the lead by so much.

you know what this reminds me of? social feeds for BlackBerry OS7. WTH did they not put it in BB10. it was awesome and irreplaceable !!

Polar Bear can barely lick the boots of Social Feeds. Not until it gets RSS And goes headless.

I used the beta and the bought the app, but it was too buggy for me. Quickpost looks better and works a tonne better too

I will re-test it to see if they've fixed my niggles such as lack of auto full stop and capitalisation when you enter two spaces and the shocking text editing functionality

It should also be a cascades app really

Ok, a lot of the bugs seem to be fixed, but still uses the old copy/paste menu and cannot upload photos yet
