YAY! I have two and my second one is dying. lasts about 3 hours now plus the back plastic part of the battery fell off. I had to put tape on the back so it would properly sit in the phone cause otherwise it would float and not connect lol. The battery isn't the full battery that you see, it's actually shorter so they put these two pieces of plastic on the front and back of it. But one fell off on mine lol. :( I'd love another one Adam. Honestly lol. :)

I already have a spare because I had a 9800 before the 9810, but if I win I will give it to some other worthy 9810 owner. ;)

I've learnt to deal with the short battery life of smart phones since I started using them. It's so far been a fact of life. Either have a full battery before leaving home or take your charger with you,that's just how it is. Having a spare battery is an idea I never considered. Worth a try though. I recently had to spend all day and an evening at the airport. My BB9900 held up until about 10pm at which point I switched to my back-up battery. The amusing part was watching those passengers with iPhone's hunting for plugs all over the terminal. One by one they fell to the floor searching for an outlet. Bummer, huh. Maybe next time Apple will improve their design and allow their customers to change the battery. Of course maybe Apple is worried the users aren't capable of performing such a complex task of replacing the battery. Based on the price of their accessories they could make another billion selling cheap batteries.

I could really use a new one for my 9900. The old one is on it's last legs!

The external charger should double as a portable charger because I don't want to reboot my device to swap out the battery, when the external charger can easily double as a portable charger. I carry an organizer with all my chargers neatly arranged and there is usually a plug in available anyways... But still, why can't all mobile computing firms make simple portable chargers? A spare battery is still handy to have, but why can't that external charger be made to be used as a portable charger to recharge devices using the usb cable and battery inside of it?

Yes spares of anything is really great .. but PHONE batteries especially .. that was one of my numerous reasons for buying a BB versus the iThingy .. control over my environment!
