Here in the UK it looks like Phones 4U are going to have a real purge on the soon to be released BlackBerry Q10. The first 300 people that order the new BlackBerry 10 smartphone will receive a 64 GB BlackBerry PlayBook for free!

Pre-Orders are now open for both the Black and White Q10 so if this is what you have been waiting for then get your order in quick.

If the PlayBook has not been your thing before you must remember that it will also get a software update to BlackBerry 10 meaning it could well be one of the most awesome tablets on the market.

London, UK, 5th April 2013

Phones 4u has today made the new BlackBerry® Q10 smartphone available to pre-order in both black and white, and is offering a free 64GB BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet to the first 300 customers who choose to pre-order the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone through Phones 4u.

After being the first retailer to range the BlackBerry® Z10 smartphone in white when it launched in the UK, and after enjoying an exceptional response to the smartphone in both its white and black variants, Phones 4u is confident that the BlackBerry Q10 will be received just as positively by consumers looking for the power of BlackBerry® 10 with a classic BlackBerry keyboard AND a touch screen.

The re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry 10 platform offers a powerful and unique new mobile computing experience. It gives you a faster and smarter experience that continuously adapts to your needs. Every feature, every gesture, and every detail is designed to keep you moving forward towards your goal and includes advancements such as:

  • The ever present BlackBerry® Hub, which  brings all your conversations together in one easy to manage place that you can access at any time from any app with a simple “peek”, so you’re always only one swipe away from what matters to you.
  • BlackBerry® Balance™ technology, which elegantly separates and secures work applications and data from personal content and lets you instantly switch between your personal and professional profile for easy access to work apps and data.
  • BBM™ (BlackBerry® Messenger), which lets you harness the power of collaboration and exchange ideas in an instant. BBM in BlackBerry 10 includes voice calling and video chat, and lets you share your screen with another BlackBerry 10 contact.
  • BlackBerry® Remember, which helps you tackle tasks quickly with a new way to collect, organize and action all the information sitting in different places across your smartphone.

The BlackBerry Q10 in black will land at Phones 4u at the end of April, with the white arriving in the weeks following this. Available to pre-order in black and white at Phones 4u from today with a free BlackBerry PlayBook for the first 300 customers, the BlackBerry Q10 will be free from £36 a month on contract, and £549.95 SIM-free.

Blackberry balance only works on bes you have to be a part of a business exchange to get or use this, so to the ordinary bb fan or newcomer no you do not get blackberry balance, mostly peeps with a z10 know this however that advert is using it as a feature!!

My playbook has been gathering dust since I got a Z10... that should change when it gets the software update though.

CanadaGSM has the unlocked 4G 32GB PlayBook for $425. But it is hard to find the original Wifi versions. I'm still rocking my 64GB PlayBook and am waiting for BB10 to drop. But I wonder if BlackBerry would release another tablet. They dropped the ball big time with the PlayBook, but could recover with another higher spec tablet with BB10 and the apps for it.

Actually, the company sold a surprising ~370,000 playbooks last qtr. Don't quote me on this, but I read somewhere that BlackBerry holds about 2% of the tablet market share.

That would be a better even better deal if it was the first 300 at each individual shop through out the UK..Im going to wait and see what Blackberry comes up with later in the year i would like a new slider so will make my choice about September time hopefully.

When the playbook gets a BB10 update that will finally make it useful!!! My GF reading books on it because I think it is actually useless in my opinion with current software. I mean its painfully slow for browsing which is the most important for me in a tablet. I am not an android fan but my Nexus 7 is a fantastic device. Much better and faster than the PLaybook. I hope the OS 10 update will bring it to the nice, quick, smooth Z10 level!

If it's painfully slow, consider doing a security wipe and restore. My 64GB bogged down and the advice I found was to do this but to not do a restore but to add things back individually to figure out what was slowing things down. I decided to just do a restore and, so far, much snappier. I haven't loaded all my video content yet so we'll see what happens when it fills up. Worth a try though. good luck.

I'd love to get a BB10 device, but I am with Sprint. Maybe they will offer some kind of BB10 device before 2014.

I wish they would have done that when I got my z10. But oh well never mind. Might have a wonder into phones 4 u on release and take a nosy.

Lets see if any carrier in Canada or the US will match this offer. For some reason i highly doubt it.

Hi, despite what it says in the phones 4 u press release that is widely reported the pre-order only applies to contracts and not SIM free. So, no pre-order to Phones 4 U with or out a playbook. D'oh. Looks like I'll be going else where.
