Quite clearly the Pay-As-You-Go market is just as strong as ever here in the UK. Vodafone have announced a new deal called 'Red Freedom Freebee' and BlackBerry 10 users will be able to take full advantage of this which is always good to see.

As usual - Vodafone Freedom Freebee and Vodafone Red Freedom Freebee are valid for 30 days and below you'll see what you get for your money:

  • £10 Vodafone Freedom Freebee - 150 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of internet
  • £20 Vodafone Freedom Freebee - 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of internet
  • £30 Vodafone Red Freedom Freebee - Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of internet
  • £40 Vodafone Red Freedom Freebee - Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB of internet

They seem like pretty reasonable deals to me which should appeal to both light and heavy users.

Surely if you are going to spend £30 or £40 per month then you would go with a contract and get a free handset, wouldn't you?

If a consumer has a bad credit rating PAYG is the only option here.

I wish Canada had deals like this.

Right? £40 is roughly $61 (rounded up). Might as well get the subsidy.

I'm just so used to having insane cell phone bills that any discount is good. I understand that I am paying for the phone though. I like the convenience of the monthly plan as well.
