Vodafone DE lists BlackBerry Bold 9900 as coming soon

Vodafone DE Bold 9900

Vodafone seems to be the winner in the "coming soon" race with the BlackBerry Bold 9900. Vodafone DE in Germany now has listed the upcoming device on their coming soon page. While there is no release date listed (as has been the case in other sightings) it's still a step in the right direction. Nothing big noted along here as the site just lists the specs of which we already know but no preorder or other info. There is a sign up page to be notified when things start moving along however. If RIM don't get there act together than I might as well switch to another device. I've had a BB since 2006. If they don't watch it, Apple and Android will take control.

@kevinmichaluk You should bring back your priorities pyramid, to many desperate people around here TROLLING without a clue of their real needs trying to follow technologies skanky a$$ just upgrading/buying a new device as soon as it's released. Take a chill pill folks, don't let Lady Tech whip you and go crazy because you might have to wait a few months for something that you think you need NOW.

With big expectations come huge disappointments. Don't be a fanboy and be thankful that we have at our disposal a truly unbiased conglomerate of people blogging over at Smartphone Experts. Read around and make the best decision for your needs.

I'm the first to admit that I almost bought a Playbook on day one, some how learned to bide my time and watch if its really going to have a future. I took a few seconds to ponder why the heck do I want a tablet for when a truly don't care for the iPad, the Zeus of mount Olympus tablet Gods.

So if what you need is not a Blackberry, please stop grieving over it and make use of your freedom to spend your hard earned money buying the device that you want not the one that you wish RIM made. If RIM doesn't deserve your money then that's their lost, not yours.

huhu

I do not use vodafone as a provider (very good, very fast 3G net), they just bill to much ;)

But if Vodafone get it, perhaps my provider will get the 9900 as well. Exclusive phones are not standard so I can hope for it ;) (Just the Iphone was 2 years exclusive to T-Mobile - of course ;) )

Still using my old 9000 and the courser-ball? is almost at the end.

Looooove the keyboard.

Up to 550 Euro no problem since there is no other option existing. (no good bb-ish android, I need this kind of qwertz-keyboard)

Just the 5 Euro per month only for the bb server sucks.

What I want to know is if the 9900 isn't running QNX, will it be upgradable to QNX? After getting my 8900 two and half years ago only to find no joy when it came to upgrades like OS 6 or a decent browser, I do not wish to do that again.

If the 9900 comes out with OS7 in Aug/Sep only to be replaced with new QNX phones in 2012 then we may as well kiss any new or updated apps goodbye. All apps will be either specifically for QNX or for Android running on QNX.

No it wont be upgradable to qnx , RIM has confirmed this. QNX needs a dual core ,wich thsi device does not has.
