We've known for quite some time now that Virgin Mobile was all geared up to release the BlackBerry Bold 9780 at some point. While the exact date still evades us, Best Buy has once again posted up devices even before the carriers and this time they've also outted something that was rumored but never really confirmed. As you can tell from the above pic, Virgin Mobile will be releasing the BlackBerry Bold 9780 in white whenever they decide to actually make it available and looks like it will be unbranded as well just like the Bell version (no carrier logo). Pricing falls in line with the rest of the carriers when it comes to no contract pricing ($499.99) but using their SuperTab option you can get the BlackBerry Bold 9780 for $129.99. Thanks Borna!

Bla1ze, do you know if verizon will be getting the bold 9780, or will it be strictly on GSM, and not a CDMA?

be no CDMA 9780 as it's known. Further down the road they may try to introduce a variation of it but realistically the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is the closest you'll likely get to a Bold 9780.. that was pretty much it's purpose. To give CDMA customers a Bold like device.

Heck I'd be happy if they released my Bold 9650 in White. Though I doubt I would use my upgrade on that...not with some devices around the proverbial corner......

Then again, I like my Bold so much, the upgrade for me just might be a white Bold. Or Colorware-ized....

Of let down, but I'm pretty happy with my current bb the tour, even though it got a bad rap in the beginning,I have no problems what's so ever with it, nor has my wife. Very reliable and love the larger keyboard, no so crammed in like the curve, Thanks bla1ze!

Too bad no Telus white. At least not yet, but I already ordered mine in black.

im with telus as well but im going to buy this one and just have it unlocked. be the first bb i have had thats not been black. i think it will be my 6th bb.

BB needs to get it together, I would not trade in a 9700 for a 9780 its the same phone.
