Virgin Mobile holiday line up confirms BlackBerry Bold 9780 launch date and pricing

We've seen this date and pricing before but now, seeing the ad puts a little bit more confirmation into it. Virgin Mobile in Canada will be releasing the BlackBerry Bold 9780 on October 21st, in time for the holidays. Price will be set at $149.99 on contract or with Virgins Supertab offerings and will also be available in white according to the ad. Of course, we're overlooking the fact the ad also shows the BlackBerry Bold 9780 as a BlackBerry Bold 9650 but, it's certainly not the first legit piece of material we've seen with errors on it. If that fact causes you some concern I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Still no word from TELUS, Bell or Rogers on the device though. But we've been advised that Rogers inventory on Bold 9700's has been low for a few weeks now, if not longer.

So the 21st for them. T-mobile on the 3rd, two weeks later. And I wonder if it will be like the 9700 and att will get it 2 weeks after them. Let's say the 17th. So I'm hoping I'll be able to stop by on the 15th (of November) and pick me up one.

Can't help but notice that they've chosen to illustrate the launch of the 9780 with an image of a 9650...

I believe that t-mobile had the 8900 for the online pic when the 9700 was coming out. It's most likely due to the fact it hasn't been released so RIM has given them any advertisement photos.

Now that Virgin Mobile Canada belongs to Bell, they should have the same release. As seen on the bell.ca/canadiens page, they list the Blackberry 9780 as a... Curve and coming soon.
