w00t! Christmas just came early for CrackBerry Kevin!! With my BlackBerry Bold 9790 Review now posted and basically every BlackBerry 7 Smartphone reviewed except for the P'9981, I've been jonesing to get my hands on the WHITE BlackBerry Bold 9900. And today it happened!
These last few months I've been bouncing around devices like crazy, trying out all of the BlackBerry 7 Smartphones as we've reviewed them and even testing out the competition in between reviews here and there for a few days. And while I am a huge fan of the color black, after a while all of these black gadgets just start to all blend in with each other. I need something different. I need something that stands out. I don't know what is, but there's just something about white phones that I love. They're just pure hot. I've honestly been wanting a white Bold 9900 since the day I unboxed the black BlackBerry Bold 9900 in August, so I am stoked.

It's the yin to your yang. So a masculine guy is totally all good rocking a white Bold 9900. And seriously.. who cares. It's almost 2012. People can rock whatever color of phone they want. And seriously seriously, this phone is HOT. Like honestly, I think even the staunchest BlackBerry haters are going to like this one - seriously, it's worth owning as a just a messaging/communication device and you can carry around your other mobile in another pocket if you truly feel the need for something else.

Yea, prolly takes a lot of hard work and delusion to constantly put a positive spin on RIMs constant fail. They've really set the bar at not following through on timelines and product, but if one was dense enough your articles could almost convince him otherwise.

I am on my White 9900 too. However, when I told my BB group that I had a white, some dude completely flipped out on me saying "white phones aren't for guys" or "I'll smack their face if they ever see a dude with white 9900".
I'm glad at least Kevin at @1:34 and even Tom agrees that they'd pick the white.

I've got a white 9810. I get a ton of comments on it - all of them positive. White phones can definitely be for guys. (They get dirty real quickly, though. That's the one drawback.)

I am using an iPhone 4S in white and am waiting for the 9790 to land in the uk, no hesitation in buying a white 9900 or even a 9790 if they bring it out in time before my next purchase.
White is awesome and looks so slick! Get out of that in learned attitude of black is manly.......white is super slick.....get with the beat dudes.

the white ones do stand out more...but I prefer the Blacks...PLUS white ones get yellowy & dirty a lot more then the Black ones (or atleast you can see the dirt more...I'm sure the blacks get just as dirty)

kev, that is sweet! white was not out when I got mine,damn! I do wish they would make the trackpad white. i have a white Torch, and wished the pad was white on that also.. kevin, next time you talk with rim ,ask them why no whit track pad, would be nice to know their take on it.

I have never liked any color for a phone other than black or grey but amazingly enough, I don't dislike this as much as I thought I would! I do think that keeping the trackpad black is good for a couple of reasons. First, it is a really sharp-looking focal point. Second, I can only imagine how filthy it would look in a week......or a month.......or a year!! It is sharp though.

This video has proven to be the final straw. With no upgrade due until July2012, I have bitten the bullett and just taken out a 2nd phone contract just to get my hands on a 9900 in WHITE.
£26 per month via Phones 4U in the UK right now!!
Just have to hope that they ship it nice and fast. Maybe, just MAYBE it will turn up before Christmas day... but I wont hold my breath.
Also, my girlfriend is going to kill me!!

They should have released it at the same time as the black model like they did with my Torch 9810. I of course picked up the white Torch 9810 and it too came with all white accessories except the white case. Have to say I'm a bit jealous of that case!! Still a sweet looking device and now that its out I many consider picking one up as my second device.

Because the sensor in the trackpad can only 'see' things with a black trackpad, a white one will not work. So that's why you can't find aftermarket trackpads in different colors :)
