VEVO video app coming to the BlackBerry PlayBook

VEVO for BlackBerry PlayBook
By Bla1ze on 3 May 2011 12:01 pm EDT

Todays keynote contained lots of goodies and sneak peeks of upcoming apps -- one of which, was Vevo for the BlackBerry PlayBook. If you're not familiar with VEVO, they're one of the top online music video services out there and hold the rights to a large catalog of content most of which, will now be streamed to your BlackBerry PlayBook in HD when the app hits release. Sadly, no date was given at this time but it's coming and if you're a music fan it'll be worth checking out.

Learn more about VEVO

maybe it'll play in all countries :P

is this free content?

This is great. I prefer watching Vevo music videos on YouTube because of the good sound and video quality of their content. This is a perfect fit :-)

yes free content. vevo is owned by youtube. this is awesome!

The tech world is interesting. We get Bing as search engine - MSFT, the Vevo app, Vevo owned by Youtube owned by Google.

i had that app since the playbook was released

Wow ... my life is coming together!
Everyday we are getting more and more!
What's next .... and for how long do we get these updates for?
A year maybe?

Will this improve simply accessing it the website from the "Best of the web" link from Blackberry that is preloaded on the Playbook?

Wonder how it stacks up against Qriocity
