In an attempt to get you to sign up for their service, Verizon has introduced Connection Day, a day of digital giveaways for people visiting Verizon stores. Taking place on November 26, the day before Thanksgiving, Connection Day will see Verizon give away music, apps, movies, and more from participating companies like Amazon, Apple, and Pandora.
Free content from Amazon comes from Amazon Music, Audible, and the Amazon Appstore. Customers will also get special digital offers through iTunes. Those interested in Pandora One will be given the chance to try it out for seven days if they visit a Verizon store on Connection Day.
Verizon is also partnering with companies like Boingo and Gogo to let customers use free Wi-Fi in airports and on their flights. There are limitations: the amount of time that you can freely connect to airport Wi-Fi varies by airport, with each customer limited to one connection period. Free Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi is restricted to 30 minutes, after which you will need to pay.
Verizon is offering these Connection Day giveaways to everyone, not just Verizon customers. If you happen to be a Verizon customer, however, you will receive a special offer.
