A post like this is torture for all those on Verizon waiting on the BlackBerry Tour 9630, but it's apparent that Verizon has to roll out their Pearl Flip before they get to the Tour so it's really a good news thing.

Verizon has already officially announced the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 and we've seen early photos of the marketing materials trickling to stores, and now internally we can see (more images after the jump) that Big Red's sales & marketing agents are getting educated as well. June 19th isn't that far away, so for those waiting on the silvery flip you will have one soon. Be sure to check out the press release for more details if you missed it the first time around.

Verizon Gears Up to Release the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230

8230 has battery life , from blackberry.com, of 3.5 talk time 9 days stand by. On the non-3g flip 8220 has battery life of 4 hours talk, and 14 days stand by. Horrible, doesn't even make it worth getting the phone.

it's an evdo device, or, as you prefer, a 3G device, not to mention,CDMA phones never have as long of battery life as their GSM counterparts.....

also, I find it rather amusing that Alltel, the company that verizon bought, has had the pearl flip for about a month now, and verizon's just picking it up....I'd have figured they'd not launch new devices with us before they got the device too.....it's been a good performer for us so far, though, it doesn't sell as well as a curve or pearl, simply because people are leary of the flip, and it *looks* like it could be fragile....

Any Storm users thinking about trying out the Pearl Flip. I don't know why but for some reason I am really interested in trying this phone. It could be because I'm obsessed with getting new phones and I've had pretty much every blackberry that has been released so far.

Before you start name calling worry about your own money. I'm not concerned with money, even in this economy, and I work hard at my STABLE job. If I want to treat myself to things once in a while there is no harm in it. I have money saved for when I need it and I have burn money for when I want to burn it :)

Electronics are my only vice. I know people who smoke cigarettes and spend more money in a week on smokes than I do on some of my gadgets.
