Verizon Fios Mobile Application For BlackBerry Storm Posted in BlackBerry Apps on 11 Jul 2009 08:11 by Adam Zeis |
It seems that Verizon Fios is slowing trying taking over the cable TV market. A recent addition to their arsenal is a Fios mobile application. Currently only available for the Storm, the application lets you easily record shows, view TV listings, set parental controls and manage space on your DVR - all from your mobile device. If you're a Fios user this app can come in very handy when you're not near your DVR. Check it out Fios TV Central, and download the app free OTA at Verizon.com.

This has been available on many other Verizon phones, and is only know available on the first BB - the Storm.
Well I own a Curve, and would really like to see this application available to me.
Come on Verizon.... why so slow. Wake up!
When I enter my mobile phone # on my DVR to get my access code I get the following error: "STB not FoG Eligible". Anyone have a clue what that means???
Thanks
Update:
Never mind... It's because I only have the regular DVR not the "Home Media" (whole house) DVR. Oh well..
how i can intall it on my bb storm i send it tp my storm by email but when i tried to load say error help please
I really want FiOs, but can not get it because I live in an AT&T area and they will not run FiOs service to anywhere that is covered by AT&T. Eventually they will have a full Hub (not just that dumb phone screen thing they have now) that connects all Verizon stuff together and will "Hopefully" be able to streem DVR'd stuff to their phones (For a fee I am sure)
This will all be LTE stuff, but it sounds really cool from what I have been able to find on Verizon's plans for networking houses.
It sucks that this is only an option if you have the multi-room DVR and not just the regular DVR.
hello guy i am a fios tech in florida if you need any help with you stuff let me know you have to be sub to multi room dvr so will work and that will alot you too record hdd and also sd on the stb 2500 and hd stb 6200 and new 7100 stb they are gettting a new sofward end of agust that will alot you dvr to use the usb port in back or from so you can plug a another hardrive so you will ot lose program if dvr need to be replace good luck any ? about fios please email me at cuba715@vzw.blackbery.net
I just downloaded the app. It works great. Now you can delete from the DVR. Another way to record onto your DVR is go to. http://m.verizon.com/tvvia
Anyone with a smartphone and a Multiroom DVR can record remotely. All you can do is record.
glad the program came out, it's about time, but it runs so damn slow downloading the info from your box....
How do You Know If You have a multiroom dvr?
I think this is a slick app, I see it is coming to the Curve hopefully the Tour won't be far behind, as I'd like to have a remote option to clean up my DVR and set things up.
FYI, I have it running on my Tour right now. Great apps for those with multi-room DVR.
Would be nice to have this type of program for DirecTV's DVR Anywhere site rather than having to access the internet. Anyone know if this is out there?
