This phone should be colorful unlike RIM's flagship devices without their own dedicated media keys. (I wish the Storm2 had some.)

Anyway, it should have come out looking as sharp as a line of iPod Nanos. No flare whatsoever. Does RIM hate color?

"Access videos, music or even sports and news clips from the web sites built for mobile streaming. The BlackBerry Storm2 smartphone is built to support fast browsing and downloads."

So this is a Storm2 in a super uber disguise eh?

It just seems to fill a different niche. Just like my Storm 2 is for those that want the BlackBerry platform in a touchscreen package. This device is for the consumer-level customer though it would be an effective business device. The media keys just nails it as a consumer device.

My first device was a 8330 and the 9550 is my second device. Both are great devices and I seriously doubt the 8530 will disappoint anyone who understands the target customer. After looking at the specs I am very impressed with the 8530 and would really like to try one myself.

This is an entry level phone. I already have the 8330. I'm not sure what to upgrade for. I had the Storm2 for 2 weeks. I needed a real business phone that i could bang out emails fast and furious. The Storm2 didn't work for me. I'm waiting for a phone that has all of the features of the Storm2 but is serious like the tour (GPS, World and WIFI). The 9700 might be a great choice but I'm married to V for the time being. Till then, I'll sit on my curve 8330.
