Do you use eBay a lot? Check out Shopping for eBay!

While there is an eBay app available in BlackBerry World for BlackBerry 10 users, it is an Android port. For some that is absolutely fine, especially since the majority of Android app runs quite smoothly with the latest BlackBerry 10 OS. However, there are many who would prefer a native BlackBerry 10 experience. One option for that is Shopping for eBay.

Shopping for eBay is essentially the website version of eBay wrapped up in a shell. Though it has got a shortcut to the Deals section if you check that out a lot. You also have access to a back and next icon to easily navigate previously visited pages. There is also a shortcut along the top bar that let's you quickly change country if you need to check out prices for a certain currency too. Pretty handy. At the moment, supported eBay countries via Shopping for eBay are - U.K., U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany and Italy, France, India, Malaysia, Philippines and Spain.

I like that I can have eBay standalone but Shopping for eBay is very much like using the web browser but I have found myself using it instead of just going to the browser the past week. I don't know what it is but I tend to download apps like this even though we have a great BlackBerry 10 browser. If it's something that interests you, check it out. It's free and available for all BlackBerry 10 devices.

A whole lot of battery!

Swiped via CB10 with my T-Mobile USA (Only T-Mo rep still pushing)  ‎BlackBerry Q10...oh wait a sec....its my new Z30, son! The holy grail of phones!

Keeps saying an update is available, when I click on the update, it crashes and goes to the home screen. It always says an update is available, but it never updates...just crashes. great to have these shitty android ports.

It says to me that the developer doesn't give a shit whether or not the bugs are out of it for we BlackBerry users.

I found mobile sites for banking, amazon, etc. to be fast and more reliable. Apps downloaded via Snap are okay but not great. Android ports are better than not having at all.
I use mobile sites so these companies have some bb10 usage stats. And who knows they may just port or create an app one day.

I use the Android version, it's slow and it's a bit buggy for example, I have a listing that shows 0 watchers on the app but 11 on the actual desktop website.

I'm using the version from snap. No problems with it and great to shopping all over the world and the hub messages work too. :)

It's really great!

I admit, this is way better that the stock BlackBerry version. I deleted the android immediately.

I've heard various negative comments about the ebay Android app so I never had any interest in installing it. Used to be infamous for battery drain too.

But using the eBay mobile website on the native BB10 browser doesn't work right for me either - can't login. So I've had to resort to using Evolution Browser if I actually need to conduct any transactions.

If this "browser shell" solves that problem then it would be interesting to me. (Unfortunately a lot of the reviews are pointing-out that it's basically just a browser with some advertisement stuck onto it so the developer can make money off of this. Comments?)

What we really need - as many have expressed - is a native app. From a developer that isn't collecting our credentials and sending them to Bulgaria or something. :)

I'll give this a try. I just deleted the android port because it sucks up too much battery life.

I really like this app, the android port is way to slow and I like having a separate eBay app instead of just the browser.

As a lot of people are commenting, this is NOT an android port.

I like this NATIVE CASCADES app too. The Dev is talented and very helpful.

I use this app lots.

Maybe it is just me but a 3rd party app to access eBay doesn't sound good to me. My PayPal account is attached to it and I don't know how secure it really is. I use eBay often and the browser is fantastic for it...I have a bookmark on my home screen so it is just like an app, at least that is what AT&T has us believe...sorry had to throw the dig

The official eBay ported app needs a native Cascades counterpart. The "app" highlighted in this post is exactly what DJ said: a glorified Web browser. Man I hope someone makes a true native eBay app, because that is not an app. Whoever makes the true app has a very reL opportunity to make some money in app sales. Hint, hint devs.

I used my almighty Z30 to create this CrackBerry madness!

This is a really great app! I hate the port! So freakin slow!

useless, just a web view inside of an app, do not get it, just bookmark the website on your home screen and you're good. i wish cb would stop recommending shitty apps already.

The website seems to be the best. :) (no offense)

I would agree that it is poor. Paid to remove the adds which resulted in my being 75p worse off and the ads still there. Will be removing soonest and returning to the other.

Hi Gillian, our email server is down so your email wasn't received. Could you PM me, on CrackBerry, to resolve the issue please? As you're the first user to report that the ads weren't removed after making the purchase

In some situations, instead of apps, I use shortcuts for the websites I need. Easy login and works fine. Apps are not always necessary.
