UPS Mobile

UPS announced the availability of its UPS Mobile App and mobile Web site in Germany, UK, France, Italy and Canada. With the new international availability of UPS' mobile offerings, the company meets consumer demand while pursuing its mobile strategy to make UPS available anytime, anywhere. Jordan Colletta, vice president of customer technology marketing at UPS, stated "Accessibility is vital to customers and our mobile offerings extend UPS capabilities to busy, on-the-go professionals and consumers who desire immediate, mobile access to UPS."

Using the UPS Mobile App, consumers can track shipments, create shipments using the My UPS address book, calculate shipping rates and time-in-transit as well as find the nearest UPS location. And there is more; once logged in, tracking history is displayed and automatically refreshed. UPS tracking numbers can also be nicknamed for quick reference. So, what are you waiting for? Grab the updated UPS Mobile App from BlackBerry App World today and become an on-the-go professional, making use of UPS' services to the max. Quick note to French customers: the application will be available to France in January 2011.

I do, from time to time, use UPS Mobile. Atleast the website. It being international doesn't do me any additional good, though. I would, however, like to say that I'm bothered that as of the 1st of next year they're no longer doing SMS tracking! How sad.
