UploadToFlickr now lets you upload a whole folder to your account

As with many online services, BlackBerry 10 users need to rely on native developers to bring third party apps to the platform and they do a pretty good job with them too. If you're a Flickr user, you'll know there is no native option. Last year (2014) we reviewed an app that allows you to upload photos to your account. The app hasn't seen much update activity since then but it has seen an update recently that brings a couple of new features.

UploadToFlickr comes from a developer we're familiar with here - Sven Ziegler - he has brought us great apps such as ReadItNow, Magic4Square, WhereIs...? and more. New features of UploadToFlickr are:

  • NEW: ability to upload whole folder
  • NEW: modifications for the BlackBerry Passport
  • NEW: modifications for BlackBerry 10.3.2
  • BUG FIX: some small fixes

UploadToFlickr doesn't have the ability to show you your stream or photos, it's merely a file uploader, as the name suggests. But if that's all you want, then it will come in handy. I've certainly make use of it every now and then. I used to be a regular Flickr user and with this app, I found it made me start using it again.

The app is free to download, all you need is a Flickr account. With a free account you can't choose where to upload your photos, if you want to upload them to a specific folder, you will need to upgrade to the Pro version which costs a mere $0.99. UploadToFlickr is available for all BlackBerry 10 smartphones.
