Updatein Places gets a new name, bug fixes and more in latest update

We've previously covered the location based search app Updatein Places and how it offers a quick way to locate nearby restaurants, banks, shopping malls, or any other nearby places you need to find directions or details on. As the application has grown the team behind this application to change the name to better reflect how it is currently being used. That being said, they have rebranded the application as 'Driveopedia' as well as including additional features and bug fixes in this version.

What's new in version 1.9

  • We are renaming Updatein Places to "Driveopedia" for better and easy app identification
  • Bug Fixes
  • New look on search listings with ratings and live opening hours
  • Now you can view the entire Google reviews for your places upon clicking view all option on the detail pages.
  • Fixed keypad caps bug upon typing.
  • Fixed translation bugs

The update is currently live in BlackBerry World. You can find Driveopedia for free for BlackBerry 10 by following the link below.

I think the new name is appropriate considering it offers directions and search capabilities for locating venues. Let us know what you think in the comments.

I really likes this app, and the name change is really good, but, after the update, I notice it is slow, and sometimes freeze my Q10.

God Bless You!

Have to take a look at it. I used to use poynt on my 9900 all the time , but when they brought it to Z10 they eliminated the ability to add to address book and that was the main feature for me. So I haven used it since.

I came here just to make the comment that netviper made: "The old name was awful. The new name is still awful." How to they come up with these horrible names?

No other sources, and for me it didn't work,i disabled location permissions and manually entered my location app just hangs up. It also wants camera and shared file access which I denied.

I flick!

Ouch... these guys need to pay a marketer to help them stop giving their apps such terrible names.

When you type in the search box you have to press the return key to activate search . Not very obvious.
