Any news about socialscope, when will they open the door for ordinary folks.
r0gueleader Nov 30, 2010 at 5:13 pm
My favorite Twitter app on Blackberry. I've used them all, but I keep returning back to UT!
davidnyc Nov 30, 2010 at 5:14 pm
FYI: I had a little problem getting logged into Facebook on my 9700 running OS6, but eventually got it to work. I couldn't get paste working for my FB password, so I had to manually type it in.
thebr0ken Nov 30, 2010 at 5:20 pm
Hmmm, Facebook integration only for posting? sad, think Im heading back to SocialScope.
demeanor76 Nov 30, 2010 at 5:30 pm
I'm happy enough with my SocialScope.
pistolpetefan23 Nov 30, 2010 at 6:08 pm
Love UberTwitter, most used app on my phone.
Ainen Nov 30, 2010 at 6:17 pm
Don't use or care about facebook, still waiting for twitpic integration like every other client seems to be able to have.
I don't use UT because I feel it's the best; I use it because it because it annoys me the least.
r0gueleader Nov 30, 2010 at 6:17 pm
Is there an absolute need for it though? Plixi works perfectly fine when I send pics to UT.
Ainen Nov 30, 2010 at 6:38 pm
It's what I've used on all my other clients, and I'd like to keep the number of sites my accounts fly about to as low as possible. UT stands as the odd client out.

I wish they would fix the kinetic scrolling (if that's what's it called) for the 9800.
iSuni Nov 30, 2010 at 6:27 pm
No Thanks.

SocialScope FTW = Fu%K The World !!!!

Really disappointed with this "update", runs very poorly on my Torch. The Facebook "integration" is a con as I've always been able to post to FB from twitter using #fb. Also, I really don't like the UI, nor do I have any need for the location stuff. Sorry, but once more it's been deleted.
pmich Dec 1, 2010 at 12:50 pm
If you can get your hands on the socialscope app for Torch...you will love it. It runs buttery smooth. It's probably the only app on the Torch that actually runs so smooth. (i've had problems with chopiness on the torch since i got it..)

I am using a Bold with OS6. Ubertwiter was my favorite client. Link don't open in this version as well. Anyone facing a similar problem?
kidmac13 Nov 30, 2010 at 9:40 pm
If you have the link highlighted, scroll just off if(down) so it looks like nothing is highlighted, and hit the touchpad, just give you the option to select link. That works for me.
cjreedjr2 Nov 30, 2010 at 7:24 pm
yea i have os6 on my 9700 and i havent been able to open links inside of tweets.. anybody know what i can do to fix it? or is it just a flaw in os6 for ubertwitter?

For anyone having trouble with the link, try going to ubertwitter's official twitter page and using the link they posted. It's what I did, it takes you straight to the download.
maniac2403 Dec 1, 2010 at 3:21 am
This is the link right?
http://www.ubertwitter.com/bb/download.php
Downloaded and still the same problem. I tried the other solution posted above. It works , but it sure is a huge bug. Could you point me to the link which works for u?
jvthoo Nov 30, 2010 at 9:27 pm
i tried SocialScope i didnt like it and i tried ÜberTwitter i didnt like it either i like the regular Twitter app for blackberry its nice and clean , and navigation is simple . . . thats just my opinion
HUTCH66 Nov 30, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Prior to getting SocialScope I used UberTwitter all the time and never had a problem. I would still be using it today but SocialScope is just to sweet not to use all the time. Anyone looking for a great Twitter client then by all means use Uber and you will not be dissapointed. For everyone else still waiting for SocialScope believe me, it is worth the wait! I waited for over a year to get an invite and just when I was ready to say the heck with it one of my BBM contacts had one and gave it to me so hang in there!

i love UT the best twitter client among all the clients which i used. but i really wished twitpic was there :(

I used to use UberTwitter back in the days of the original beta, however during a move away from BlackBerry there was a change in the UI, which has caused me to move away from UberTwitter altogether, I'm currently in a switch back and forth between Twitter for BlackBerry, TweetGenius and SocialScope, all of which I quite like for what they have to offer, UberTwitter deserves its credit for freeing us from the realm of TwitterBerry which I ran on my 8900.

It keeps freezing for a few seconds whenever I try to perform a task. Did a battery pull, but no change. Hoping it will be resolved soon. Other than that I LOVE IT! Always have.

Suffering a Twitter account validate error here - cannot post any new tweets at all.
Every time I try I get:
Error posting your Tweet! Error, unknown return code from the service = 504
Same thing happens if I try to validate my Twitter account.
Sveninho Dec 1, 2010 at 5:09 am
Is it me or does the program lag?
CaliCat Dec 1, 2010 at 5:35 am
I'm like a couple others here - have used many clients but keep returning to UberTwitter not because it's so far & away the best, but because it's the least annoying to date and fits my needs best to date. HOWEVER, it does annoy me at times in that (1) it does come to my attention at times that I do not always receive all the tweets in my timeline, and (2) UT doesn't offer the simple ability to filter out tweets by keyword or hashtag, which is badly needed.
I did get lucky enough to score a SocialScope invite and do go back & forth between UT and SS... SS does have that ability to filter that I like, but doesn't have the other customization that I like in UT such as ability to load/cache 2K tweets in timeline (sometimes I can't get to them for several hours but need to see what I've missed and want to pick up where I've left off without having to reload or scroll endlessly), and it doesn't seem to retain my place in the timeline at last tweet read.

I have no idea why i bother with this app ... Looking to give it a "new" opportunity on my 9800 ... BRICK constant reboot cycle ... Thanks Uber again for the diappointment! T4BB, Seesmic, HootSuite, SocialScope, Twitter's Mobile site, Blaq, OpenBeak all for the win compared to the pile of snikey ...
winterheimhdd Dec 1, 2010 at 7:37 am
I'm getting freezes every so often but other than that, the app appears to be quite snappy even on a Curve 8520.
But features-wise, I think UT is still behind compared to apps like TweetDeck where you can have multiple views.
thecapitalr Dec 1, 2010 at 7:37 am
does anyone have the previous beta version of this as a direct download link?
i installed this version on my BB 9780 and it constantly freezes on every page for about 45 seconds.. VERY annoying!!!
K_Daddy Dec 1, 2010 at 8:59 am
I've had this App for a while. Now its no good. What's with the adds? I guess its time to look around for something else.
jlb21 Dec 1, 2010 at 9:09 am
The two ads in the timeline will bother me.
no reason for me to upgrade at this point...... :(
cheechorama Dec 1, 2010 at 9:38 am
I liked ubertwitter until they started making the UI more complex, and forced the Ubertwitter crap in all my menus.

This new version keeps freezing... old one was much better :(
djgrof Dec 1, 2010 at 11:00 pm
I am very disappointed with this version, before the ads were fine, and now it is very uncomfortable, stands in an inappropriate manner.
if this does not fix this client will not use more.
winterheimhdd Dec 2, 2010 at 8:27 am
1.01 has been released via their website. This supposedly fixes the freezing.

I've been a UberTwitter user for more than a year -- I'm a fan! In my view the best Twitter app for Blackberry
