If Twitter for BlackBerry isn't your cup of tea or you're still trying to get your hands on a copy of SocialScope for BlackBerry then chances are you're making use of UberSocial to fire off your daily tweets and if so -- you're now able to download the v1.3 update that has plenty of new additions and fixes:
- Integrated with BBM, you can now set your BBM status or personal message to your last tweet, requires BlackBerry OS version 5.0 or higher.
- You can save and restore draft tweets from the compose screen.
- Reworked the login mechanism with Twitter to avoid some issues.
- Added the ability to turn off the global ‘Uber Tweet’ menu item
- Fixed bug in mypict.me upload which could cause the app to lock up.
- Fixed bug in keyword muting where you couldn’t include a ‘#’ at the beginning of the keyword.
- Fixed bug where UberChannel background images were getting their corners rounded.
- Changed the link color in the red and pink themes to be more readable
You can grab the update from their website for now and BlackBerry App World approval is on its way. Looking to ditch the ads? No problem -- you can kill those off by paying the $4.99 for the ad-free version and you're good to go. BlackBerry 7 device? No worries there either -- you're supported across the board.

No Push Notifications yet :/.....Sticking to T4BB
gavinn Dec 12, 2011 at 8:37 pm
Same. This is the deal breaker for me, especially with multiple account push notifications.

Not sure why anybody would spend $5 on this when the native app is as good as it is...

If Twitter for BlackBerry had a timeline that was like Über I'd agree that it was the best. For me I have Über for my main app and Twitter for BlackBerry for push notifications.

Is this version running smoothly now on OS7? I deleted Ubersocial before because when browsing the Timeline on my 9900, it isn't smooth.
SC457 Dec 12, 2011 at 9:35 pm
It' been running smooth for me on the 9900, both this version and the previous 1.252 version.

now it is, yes. :)
jamilliiee Dec 12, 2011 at 10:18 pm
Both this version and the previous version don't run smooth on my 9900 when i use the custom themes. Also when i try to connect it to my bbm, it says "unable to connect to BBM. Maximum downloads of UberSocial reached" :S yup..
SC457 Dec 12, 2011 at 10:30 pm
They posted on twitter that they'll have the bbm fixed by the time it's on app world.

oh ok cool

UberSocial is leaps and bounds better than T4BB. Only advantage of T4BB is push notifications, but I get emails upon mentions and retweets anyway that come immediately to my device, so its essentially the same thing.

another way is that you can have the notifications/tweets sent via text which is instant from what i can tell...the uber notification varies the delay, sometimes it's 2 min. sometimes it's 10-15 min. it doesn't bother me really as i am not that desperate.

why cant they make this app as integrated with the bb os as t4bb is? that's what i don't understand. for example clicking links is a nightmare where i have to go through 2 menus till the link opens in the browser. t4bb is a click ie no menus. also searching @names and #hashtags have two additional steps then t4bb, why? no pull down refresh and to reply to a tweet is comprised of the most complicated set of actions anyone has come up with. whereas in t4bb it's one click again. why? so many questions ans so few answers. lol. i can't use t4bb because it doesn't refresh properly on by 9380, whereas ubertwitter works flawlessly but is overcomplicated as shit. i just can't get what i want man lol.

this is odd; must be your phone. i have a bold 9700 and don't have the issues you're having...clicking links is a 1 step process, i just click on it and it opens up in a separate tab...refreshing is done by simply clickiing on the ubersocial logo on the top left or hitting your menu button and clicking refresh...same thing for replys...ubersocial is better than twitter for blackberry simply because you can see people's pics within their tweets as appose to going to a site to view it.
MaxPayne79 Dec 13, 2011 at 2:59 pm
You have a non touchberry and that's the difference. when I had it on my 9780 it was simply awesome too because of the end endless keyboard shortcuts, but on my 9380 full touch it's like they forgot to update the app for touchberries and it sucks. Its still ghetto interms of touch interface userbility and app design. :(
omega supreme Dec 13, 2011 at 3:14 pm
i see; well hopefully they'll update it for touchberries later then cause by the time i get one i'm sure a year will go by as i only get new phones when i'm eligible for an upgrade and even then i refuse to pay more than 50 bucks for one...but that's just me...i am curious about that new milan that's around the corner but i digress.

I've downloaded the new version but can't seem to integrate it with my BBM. It keeps saying 'maximum downloads reached' and this is so not cool
PlayaX01 Dec 13, 2011 at 8:10 am
i heard RTs from protected accts were taken away. are they back?
hvizzo Dec 13, 2011 at 10:36 pm
I'd also like to know this before I upgrade. This is the only dealbreaker for me which stopped me from upgrading to the most previous upgrade.
