Time to check out the latest Twitter for BlackBerry if you're a BlackBerry Beta Zone user. v2.1.0.18 is now available for download and corrects some issues over the previous release. RIM has posted the changelog this time so let's see what has been fixed and added:
New feature
- Added shortcut to switch accounts quickly - Alt + Space
Fixed
- Tweet Refresh - Notifies on every Tweet and not according to time specified in application Options
- Social Feeds - Unable to view user profiles of multiple @mentions
- Social Feeds - Cannot respond to a Tweet from selected account
- Universal Search - Message thread does not open
- Messages - Moving cursor to the right in message list causes the list to scoll to the bottom (should go up or down one line)
Right then, get to it. You can grab the download from the BlackBerry Beta Zone right now or register for access in the link below.

Their "Known Issues" still includes the timeline freeze issue. Can anyone confirm if this has been fixed? If not, totally unsat!

im the complete opposite. i hate waking up in the morning and having to scroll up through 200 tweets to get to the top. it's totally stupid. i love that twitter for blackberry takes me straight to the top cause i have the option of going back and checking what ive missed. in ubertwitter i do not, i have to scroll for half an hour through all the tweets. it's a night mare. but then twitter for bb doesn't have "my inner circle" which is the only reason i use ubertwitter over twitter fo bb.

or you can just press "T" to get to the top of your ubertwitter timeline.

Downloaded..works fine..then deleted. Ubersocial is just better and has more options. I think I'll stick with Ubersocial for now.

I downloaded it. Got the email as usual with my code. Restarted my phone. Email was gone. Went to Beta Zone and got another one sent. Went into twitter so I could put the code in and get it going. Went to the bottom and the code was already there. I've never had this happen before, did it do this for anyone else?

It did that to me too - first time that's ever happened.
It also sorta bricked my phone - on reboot, the progress bar would hang at about 70%. Took three battery pulls before it would boot all the way.
I'm going back to 2.1.0.15 for now.

Does anyone have the correct d/l URL? When I click d/l, it takes me to the Beta homepage and says 'Invalid ID'.
Thanks

Anybody else getting this error from the d/l screen?

I am getting the same issue on 9810
telephonemike Nov 4, 2011 at 1:28 am
I deleted it and went back to the stock version found in App World as it cause my 9900 to reboot 3 times within 2 hours

Yeah I had the same issues. Had to reboot the phone. It was more trouble than it was worth, so I left the old version. I'm trying to stay loyal to BB and not jump ship to the iPhone, but BB makes everything into an ordeal and my patience is running out.

Like I said above, 2.1.0.15 worked fine on my 9850. I upgraded to .18 this morning, and have spent the last hour getting rid of it and trying to find .15 on the web again for download since .18 causes my phone to hang at 70% on the progress bar during reboots.
Suggestions for locating .15? And yeah, I should have saved the .cod, I know....

I just wanted to know where the exit button went. there used to be an exit button for twitter. this version has a close button which does not exit twitter. hate that. why why why?
