I'm sort of addicted to SS, since I can get my Twitter and FB streams in one app. That sort of integration would be nice in the native app. Most important to me is that the notification feature functions right (it doesn't always in SS), and that the connection is solid. Always, option to use TwitPic or Photo is handy (as incorporated in SS.) Looking forward to the results of the contest, and keeping fingers crossed that I'm blessed with an invite! :P

I'd like to try the official client from RIM... choose me.

The things that I value most in a Twitter client would have to be first and foremost the seperation of the timeline, replies, and direct messages. Next would be the option to have the timeline update each time I go in to the app as oppose to have the timeline auto-refresh while I'm not using the app. Also, the shortcut keys are a great touch such as T(top) B(bottom) R(retweet or reply) etc. Friend picker would be a great option as well where you simply type in @ and the 1st letter of the person you're attempting to reply or send a message comes up without having to memorize all of your followers. There are some more features, but those are what's most important to me. Thanks and again my Twitter ID is @djransom.

Edubbz1..................... The features I value most are alerts, I use right now use UberTwitter for that reason because the others dont have an alert option so you have to go to the app to refresh. I also use the retweet and reply, alot..... Good luck to me!!!!!!!!!

I just recently started using Twitter, and for someone just starting there is a bit to choose from. I know I did a lot of installing/uninstalling. I'm really looking forward to the official BlackBerry one. I wonder it will will also use their Push services, which would save on battery instead of having to 'retrieve' data constantly. ;)

What I look for in a Twitter Client is:

1. Streamlined Interface (If I can't figure out where to go I could care less about the features)

2. Notifications (I need to be able to change the frequency of notifications and how they are received)

2a. Push Notifications (Really hoping Blackberry can bring this to their devices.)

3. Appearance (Who wants to look at something that isn't attractive and appealing?)

4. Features (Having different abilities to shorten links, integrate pictures/videos, insert your location etc. are always pluses to any service and make it more robust)

5. Organization (Having all my different feeds, groups and messages in obvious and easy to find locations is key)

6. @ Responses (I would love to see Ubertwitter's @-picker integrated into other apps, sometimes it can be tiring to type in multiple users @names)

7. Memory Usage (The smaller amount of memory that is consumed is best — without sacrificing features or notifications)

8. Font (Maybe nitpicking at this point, but sometimes different fonts make an app look cheap, would appreciate full customization)

9. Icons (Obviously tied in closely with Fonts, it needs to have "Apple-ized" icons that are clean-cut and easy to differentiate between)

10. Transitions/Visual Actions (Much like TweetGenius has done, the small details like a "poof" animation for sending a tweet can really round out a app and makes it more pleasing to use)
