By Bla1ze on 17 Feb 2014 08:13 pm EST

If you do a lot of traveling, then having a good travel app on your smartphone is pretty vital. I see what you did there

Dreaming of vacation travel right this second...

mohawk apple

nice,i can use a vacation rite about now lol

anyone can perhaps compare this head 2 head against the BB Travel and come up with the comparison please?

anyway, good job Tripomatic! welcome to BB10! you won't be disappointed to have us onboard!

Heh. When I saw this article, the first thing I thought was how this differed from BB Travel.

This app is nothing like BB Travel. This app tells you what to do, things to see in the city you're visiting.

Thanks a lot! We're not competing with BB Travel, we see Tripomatic as a great complement to it. We help with planning the itinerary and navigation in the city and provide info about interesting places.

Not available for my Q10 though.

You are right, we require at least 10.2.0.

blackberry travel rocks so if this is better then that i will give them some props. Always good to have choice as well.

It's different from BlackBerry travel. BlackBerry travel looks for your flight schedule and such.

While Tripomatic is for planning your itinerary for your vacation. What to see. Where to go. And such.

BlackBerry Travel is better.

After using the app for sometime I found it better than BlackBerry Travel. The app gives list of sight seeing places and hangout areas which is handy for planning.

Download it this earlier today

Made by s4BB? Just kidding :-p

Posted via CB10

Haven't used this, but it's what S4BB should have done: one travel app with in-app purchases for destination info. Of course, they are taking advantage of people who just search for a city name in BlackBerry World...

Nice,I want to go back in time!!A time traveller.

Does this one work for cruises? It's the one thing I wish BlackBerry Travel would do.

Posted via CB10

It does depending on the destination of your cruise. This app is for specific cities, tells you what to do when you're there.

Kobe Barksdale

Destinations are very limited, can't even find London, England lol

Posted via CB10

London is listed as a destination on their website.

If you can't find London, then you must be blind, because it's even listed among "Top destinations".

Hi Kobe, London wasn't displayed due to a bug in the app. Sorry about that. Please check it now, it should be working properly.

It still doesn't work for me. No London even with the latest update.

Posted via CB10

It is possible that update might not help. Try to uninstall app and then install it again. I hope it will work then. btw. London is listed as TOP destination.

I wish I was traveling atm

Posted via CB10

Amazing app!

Posted via CB10

Will need much more city selection before this becomes useful

Posted via CB10

Hi, we cover over 400 destinations worldwide, but there was a bug and some of the destinations were not displayed. It should be fixed now.

I use ARKick. The only difference is that this gives you pdfs.

Posted via CB using my Q10

Any idea, which list of cities ArKick support. I keep asking this question in twitter to founder as well company account, Nobody bother to reply

Started playing around with this and is great. Works great in conjunction with BlackBerry Travel. Will use for my next holiday.

Posted via CB10

Didn't have half the cities I expected and couldn't even find Bangkok Thailand even though the app said it had it. Deleted the app... next!

Hi, Bangkok wasn't showing due to a bug, but it should be fixed now. Sorry about that!

Will give it a try! :)

No Bangkok, No Las app.

Posted via CB10

Hi, there was a bug in the app and it did not display many destinations. It should be ok now, please give it a try once more. We do cover both Bangkok and Las Vegas.

I LOVE finding out about great new apps, but Please, please PLEASE make it clear which BB10 version is required when writing articles about these apps. There are, unfortunately, many of us who STILL do not have 10.2 yet ~ thanks! :-)

Hi, Tripomatic app requires 10.2 version, we couldn't use older versions due to some issues with developing the app.

Looks like if you add a trip with unknown dates the attractions tab is dimmed out and unselectable.

It works fine on my Q5 and Z10 devices, I´ve tried destinations like London, Paris, Brno or Berlin. I have the lastest version

The app is still not working correctly. Only a handful of destinations are available. This is after the latest update.

Posted via CB10

Sorry to hear that. It should be fixed now, but update might not help. Try to uninstall app and then install it again. I hope it will work then.

To all users who can't find some destinations: try to remove the app and install again from BB World. It looks like it's caching this data.

Does this mean BlackBerry can get rid of all those terrible "City Guides" on the marketplace? :) PLEASE!
