I downloaded 2 apps and when I went to get the third one it says I downloaded the maximum amount of copies for this promotion.

Really bro?

Well I accept my responsibility for not reading the article. But I was too busy trying to get some apps before they were gone.

Oh well

If you did not read the article, yet rushed to download before they all gone, how do you know if it was something you really needed?

It would seem like you down loaded simply because it was free, and not that you had a need for it.

Blackberry always.....

I completely agree with you. I took the time to read each app description and evaluate if I really need. I finally decided I only need camera timer app but the redeem code has been long used up. :-(

Using Z10, wanting Z30, eyeing Windermere

Yeah, some apps are becoming obsolete, just like Torch/Flashlight in 10.2.1

Now, custom LED and missing legacy features, please.

Functionality baked into OS gives me more confidence than using an app that might become unsupported and look in my data, or the work and effort set it up and customize, let say for dozens or hundreds of contacts...

 BlackBerry? I premdict the future's gonna be chenomenal! 

Gold is the new first...

Trophy is the golden Fist... or something ;-)

Wonder if these promos are actually up to the numbers they quote. It says 100 and it's all gone within minutes.

Boy, I've really become concerned with the company I've been keeping. Over the past 2 years I see the "dumbing down" of this community. Half of the people here should not even own a BlackBerry.

I consistently see people who cannot read, count, comprehend, follow directions,or be grateful for anything.

Really sad atmosphere here.

Personally, I wouldn't even post anything for perpetuity if I said some of the dumb stuff I read.

A big thanks to Toysoft and CB again!

A Beluga whale is having fun with some kids.

I have to agree with most of what you have said though. Maybe to look at it in a positive way would be.

BlackBerry is gaining more iPhone and Android Users...

:o)

Take care and have a good weekend.

Maybe a contest to get the codes may be cool. The way CB used to do it.

Posted from my Z10. But Z30 or Passport very soon

Gutted to miss out again. Couple of very good looking apps available. To be fair, for the amount I would use the 2, I can easily justify the £2.25 cost for them both! Thanks anyway CB and Toysoft. Least your getting some sales as well as brand awareness! And ignore the haters!

So everyone complaining about the app no longer being free.... you do realize these free promos are a way to get us to look at the app.

So go buy it. And those who get them free.... how about some reviews in the comments?

This give away are a joke!
Even in this small details BlackBerry is small.
Put apps on real give away, I can teach them how to make money on give aways, not this silly stuff.

Should we not just be grateful that these developers are using the tools within the program to give some apps away for free?

If you are like me, I get some, l miss some. I don't gripe over the ones I don't get, I am thankful for the ones that I do get.

Remember, these developers are not doing this to make money, they are doing it to fulfill a passion that they have.

Really, if you had to pay. 99 cents is it really worth the whining and crying?

It's incredibly annoying and frustrating to see these so-called "promotions" when given the fact that the average user will never be able to get a free copy since they get snatched up within minutes.

It's really just a way to get exposure and a marketing ploy - much like many of the "featured" apps that get highlighted now and then (which turn out to be garbage most of the time).
