the deal is awesome, but make sure you read the Fine Print, as there are some stipulations.

Here's the Fine Print/Stipulations on the 8310 Curve:

Conditional $250 Discount

Good price but need to sign up for and keep a $45 BB data plan or $20 messaging plan.
Also doesn't apply to renewals, only for new customers.

what's the deal with this deep discounts? ATT had that Curve deal for 3 days now this??

The aggravation for me personally is I wanted to buy an 8310 for my wife (who's using a Pearl currently but is very interested in getting a Curve at some point) and maybe pick up and extra Curve to have on hand or an 8800 series for myself. I mean, i've been a loyal Cingular/ATT customer for years now I should be able to take advantage of these ridiculously awesome deals too right?

But, nope. Can't do it. I'd have to be eligible for an upgrade (which i'm not eligible for until mid june)...absolute bummer and I dare say not fair to us loyal existing customers.

/2 pennies.

agreed! deals are nice, but they're always unfair to someone.

I don't know, seems unfair if you already have an account to get more phones. Obviously they are allocating a predetermined amount of handsets for this deal to bring in NEW customers. This is why these deals come and go. It would seem kinda unfair if you are already a customer and you edge out someone who doesn't even have a phone yet just so you can have an EXTRA one on hand.

It's like when they are handing out free things at events and they tell you "sorry sir, one per guest". It's so those who haven't partaken can. How would you feel if you were a NEW customer and you missed the deal by 1 phone because "Phoney McGrabsalot" just signed up for his 5th handset?

That would be unfair.

My advice check out Ebay, they have a load of phones (some pretty new) waiting for you at a mere pittance.

Seriously? It's unfair to add a phone that you than have to pay for a plan on?

Too bad the newer Pearls aren't on the list.

Anybody know how long you have to keep the BB data package to redeem the rebate?
