Murst! Like my colleagues I'm still switching to Rogers because of poor service downtown Vancouver. I don't know one person (out of a couple hundred) who isn't switching. Funny thing is that Telus (BC tel) started in Vancouver.

Sorry for trolling here....but...
Telus started in Alberta as the rebranding of the provincial telephone company AGT (I remember they paid a cool million for the name). When it merged with BC-Tel, I believe the headquarters of BC-Tel were actually located in the suburb of Burnaby...whether they put much emphasis in the downtown core is another story...
On another note, I too was looking to switch away from Telus due to their poor reception (in Ontario), but since they upgraded my area to LTE, my 3G reception has been fantastic! Weird, huh?

Not trolling. I don't mind being corrected. I only recall BC Tel "turning into" Telus and then purchasing ClearNet.

Which phone do you use?

Bold 9700...last year's 72 hour sale brought me to Telus.

What does telus want you to telthem?
Jake Storm Jul 31, 2012 at 2:22 pm
I'll tel them, "Thank you".
Downloaded it yesterday. This app works great.

Thank you Telus!

This is long overdue! >:P

Glad Rogers has had one for a while!
Plus I don't have to have a username/password either. As long as I am on the mobile network I guess it knows via my phone number.
Sparro Jul 31, 2012 at 11:14 am
With the username/password... the same one you use to access telusmobility.com you can use it on the network and on wifi. The rogers app will not allow you to access your account info while on wifi... so to log in once with a username/password is no big deal. Plus if i put the app on my wives iPhone, I can access my account through her device too.

they won't bring out the latest OS updates for their blackberry phones, I am using a torch 9800 and had to load another carrier OS to fix the issues that exist with the build on telus that I and many others were having but they bring out this app ... what a joke.
BruvvaPete Jul 31, 2012 at 4:25 pm
An OS update would be quite nice. A couple of weeks ago I had to wipe my Torch9800 no less than five times because I updated apps. I now have seven app updates and I'm loath to install them because AppWorld sucks and so does Desktop Manager; neither saved any of my apps and I had to re-install them all one by each.
Hanging on until BB10. At least six months. What a long wait.
Rootbrian Jul 31, 2012 at 8:13 pm
Another carrier's OS is much better than telus, it makes things better than waiting forever.
Of course, apps aren't backed up. That's only the case with the playbook.
Try reloading to a clean state and only restore what you actually need. That usually fixes most issues. Clutter from past backups causes issues.
Rootbrian Jul 31, 2012 at 8:14 pm
And now it's got more features this time. I'm on WIND now, but it's good to see something nice from my former carrier. :)

Telus has best overall service in BC and Alberta. I was standing beside my daughter in Kits. And she had bars on her Rogers phone and got rejected for busy circuits while my Telus phone made the call for her. I haven't ever had problems with reception or overloaded circuits since phones went digital in Vancouver.

Not sure what the big deal is with this app! Rogers has pushed an app of the same name to all smartphones on their network. AT&T and TMo too have something similar. I thought this would be standard amongst carriers to reduce over usage. Such was the case early back with AT&T and iPhone plans where users/customers were exceeding their plans data window and AT&T not informing them.
