While I'm finding it hard to decide on just what case to use on my BlackBerry Q10, I've found the Incipio Dualpro Case to take top honors so far. With it's simple design and two-layers of protection it's one that will be hard to beat. 

Although it has two-layers, it doesn't add much bulk to the Q10 which is great. The inner layer is a silicone skin that wraps tightly around the device while the outer hard shell clamps it all together. That means two layers of protection on all the corners which, if you're like me, is where you need the most protection. Every time I drop my device it always manages to land on the corners, so this case helps keep me from losing my mind.

All of my life I have thought there was something wrong with me because I have never had a pair of earbud style headphones that actually stay in my ears. They always fall out. Always. And I don't just mean the earbuds that BlackBerry has included with their devices over the years, but I mean every pair of earbuds I have ever tried. I have bought cheap pairs. I have tried expensive pairs. It doesn't matter. They fall out as soon as I move just a little bit, never mind try something like walking or jogging.

When Apple announced their new EarPods last year after what Jony Ive said was an exhaustive research and development effort by the company, I had honestly hoped that Apple would be my earbud savior and that these new EarPods would be the answer to my problem (seriously, watch this video and you'll believe too). But nope. Crap. They look cool and I'm sure they sound ok, but I wouldn't know as they just fell out of my ears too. For me, they were horrible (read iMore's review for a proper review). If Apple's years of exhaustive R&D couldn't solve my problem, at that point I just assumed I was destined to never be able to use earbuds for the rest of my life.

In my pursuit for the perfect BlackBerry Z10 case, the next stop is the Seidio Surface case. The Seidio Surface case for the BlackBerry Z10 is a two-piece design that slides over your Z10 and snaps on for a secure fit.

To use the case, you simply slide on the top portion then click in the bottom. It holds tight with no worry of accidentally falling off (even when dropped). If you want to remove it, just press down on the back where indicated and the case comes right off. It gives you full protection (sans screen) as it wraps around the entire device and will keep you safe from most drops.

While that elusive BlackBerry Z10 multimedia dock has never made an official appearance, luckily Z10 owners aren't totally out of luck when it comes to a great charging dock. The Mobi Products Desktop Charging Cradle for the BlackBerry Z10 comes to the rescue to take care of things. This simple charging dock lets you charge and/or sync your BlackBerry Z10 in style wherever you may be.

The dock itself isn't booming with features - but it doesn't need to be. It has a microUSB that plugs into the Z10 as well as a standard USB cable attached to the back of the dock. The cable can be used in your computer to sync and/or charge or plugged into the included power block to charge in any wall outlet. A simple blue LED on top of the dock lets you know it's working.

Safety first, and that means cases!

Alongside the BlackBerry Q10 devices proper, many retail locations in Toronto have been selling accessories. For your viewing pleasure, we grabbed as many of the official BlackBerry ones as possible (third party ones weren't in stock quite this early). 

First off, there were hard shells and soft shells, in both white and black. Each installed super easily and looked great with their corresponding color. Frankly, I can't abide by Kevin's cookie-based fashion sense. There's a clear pink soft case too, for those that are interested in something a little more colorful while still staying understated.

Besides cases, there was was the strapless leather pouch, and the secure leather holster. Both had enough wriggle room to allow for one of the shells to be on, which is nice. Take a closer look at the range below - just keep in mind that there are a few more official accessories that we haven't had a chance to check out just yet.

Heavy duty protection to protect your device against the hazards of an active lifestyle

When it comes to cases, I’ve owned my fair share. In one way or another, a day does not go by where my BlackBerry Bold 9900 doesn’t find some way of falling to the floor, concrete or carpeting. If you're a power-user on the go, you're going to want back-up juice for the BlackBerry Z10. 

I used the word "great" 57 times in our BlackBerry Z10 Review to describe the phone. That's a lot of greats. One section of the review where I did not use the word "great" was in describing the Z10's battery life. 

Having used the Z10 for a few weeks now as I'm writing this, I'd say the battery life is OK-ish. There are some days when I make it from morning until bed without needing to top up (check out these tips to maximize battery life on the Z10). There have also been days under heavier use where the phone is running low on juice before dinner. The battery life is on par with a lot of other LTE devices out there, but for power users who have experienced amazingly-long battery life on older BlackBerry devices in the past, you'll find yourself wishing you could wedge a bigger battery in under the removable battery door (I tried it. It didn't work).
