Video Review: Seidio Innocase II Surface for the BlackBerry Tour 9630
By Adam Zeis | 01 Mar 2010 12:04 | 27 comments

One of the best selling cases for all devices, the Innocase II Surface from Seidio offers great protection for your device. The two-piece design allows it so snap on, keeping it locked tight and actually making it quite hard to remove. The inside is linned with a soft material to keep your device scratch free when the case is in place. There are open areas for all of the buttons and ports, as well as exposed charging contacts, so (with a little maneuvering) you can still use the Seidio charging pod with the case on. Check out the video above for a quick look at the case. The case is available for almost all devices and sells for $29.95 at ShopCrackBerry.com.

Video Review: OtterBox Commuter Case for the BlackBerry Bold 9700
By Adam Zeis | 17 Feb 2010 15:30 | 20 comments

OtterBox has long been know as the leader in "ultimate protection" for mobile devices. Their Commuter series cases are one of the top selling, and for good reason. The Commuter provides great protection for your device, giving you a step up from standard hard cases by using a skin/hard plastic combination. The Commuter is a mix of both the Impact and Defender series cases from OtterBox, combing the best of both worlds. The case fits extremely well, and completely covers the sides and back of the device. If you're looking to step up the protection on your BlackBerry, the Commuter may be just the thing for you.

iSkins for BlackBerry: Review and Giveaway!

Contest details at the end of this article.... keep reading, and good luck!

iSkin

Your beautiful BlackBerry; is there a sexier smartphone out there? I think not, nor would my eyes ever dare to wander. Okay, so my BlackBerry addiction isn't that bad, or else I'd have a whole new set of issues to deal with. You do have to admit that RIM's line up (past, current and future) is quite stunning. Over time and through wear and tear, your device goes from functional and fabulous to functional and frumpy. The trick to slow the aging process? Handle with care and keep it covered. There may be a problem with this. Do you want to sacrifice sexy style for security? Some skins offer great protection, but are damn ugly. Not only that, but you may experience interference when using the keypad or touch screen. The iSkin may offer the best of both worlds.

There’s been quite some buzz lately online about the iSkin. I’ve been lucky enough to try them out for a while now; about a month or so before they hit the CrackBerry store. Their lineup is colorful, and very eye catching. There’s only a handful of BlackBerrys in my office, but mine still stands out with the iSkin. Want to know how well they work after a few months? Read on fashion lover! Warning- there may be a giveaway involved!!

Review: OtterBox Defender Series Case for the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve 8900
By David Boyd | 10 Jul 2009 13:24 | 26 comments

Bold and Curve Heavy Duty

I have tried just about every kind of case/holster out there to use on my Sam Browne, and have never found the perfect one until now. OtterBox Defender Series cases are rugged and can easily withstand the abuse of day to day use in Emergency Services.

The case is available for almost all current BlackBerry devices, and comes in either all black, or a black/yellow combination. Most of you are familiar with the OtterBox cases already, but in case you aren't, here is some info about them:

Seidio Innocase Surface for BlackBerry Bold Review

A Hard Skin Case to Protect Your BlackBerry Bold In Style

Seidio Innocase Surface for BlackBerry Bold

There's no shortage of BlackBerry Bold 9000 skins and cases on the market today. Finding the one that's best for you is really a matter of personal preference. But if you're looking for a minimalistic case that offers decent protection without adding any significant bulk to your Research In Motion (RIM) Bold smartphone, you'll find a friend in the Seidio Innocase Surface.

The Bold Innocase is good looking, adds a much-needed degree of "sturdiness" to the Bold's less-than-rock-solid build, and fully protects its chrome bezel from scratches and other aesthetic damage. However, it's high price; hard, non-malleable plastic, which makes accessing depressed convenience keys and other buttons somewhat difficult; and a few unfortunate design flaws mean the case is far from perfect.

Overall, I was pleased with the Seidio Innocase Surface for Bold-it has become my new case of choice and my Bold is wearing it as I write this post-but I've got quite a bit of constructive criticism for Seidio, as well. Hit the jump for the specifics.

Review: BodyGuardz for BlackBerry
By Ryan Blundell | 12 Feb 2009 10:27 | 34 comments

BodyGuardz

If you want to maintain your BlackBerry’s sexiness, you have to keep it protected. It brings a tear to my eye to see true BlackBerry abuse. Some scratches and nicks are one thing, but when a BlackBerry looks like it was dragged by horse through town is just awful. As soon as I purchased my Curve almost a year ago, I bought a black skin to protect it. It added some bulk to the device, as far as size went. Since then, my Berry has been looking great for its age, but the skin has become dull and worn looking. Should I opt for another skin? Should I let my Berry run around in the buff like “Curves Gone Wild”?

Review: Seidio Spring Holster for the BlackBerry Storm
By Gary Mazo | 05 Feb 2009 11:21 | 37 comments

Seidio Spring Clip Holster for the BlackBerry Storm

I love my Storm, but this thing is kind of big. It is just big enough to be uncomfortable in my front pocket - which is too bad. I sometimes feel uneasy about putting it in my coat pocket unprotected - I don't want to scratch the screen (or the nice shiny finish for that matter.) So, what am I to do? I have never really been a fan of "Holsters," I think they make me look like a 45 year old businessman, oh wait...I guess that's what I am. Anyway, I was please when the Seidio Spring Clip Holster showed up - it offers a nice way to "holster" my Storm and also use it without a case blocking features, buttons or the screen.

When the Storm is in the Spring Clip Holster - it is protected. When I take it out, it is au natural - a nice compromise.

Review: Swiss Mobility Lara Side Pouch for BlackBerry Pearl
By Ryan Blundell | 02 Jul 2008 13:44 | 7 comments

Swiss Mobility Lara Side Pouch for the BlackBerry Pearl Series

And now for something completely different…

To start, I’d like to thank my Wife for helping me with the review for this case, as it’s more her style than mine. She’s been searching high and low for a case that offers a little more style and femininity. When she recently decided to cross over to the dark side and join the BlackBerry ranks, she was less than impressed with the BlackBerry pouch and Lambskin leather case. It had been a long journey to various accessory stores, trying to find the right carrying solution.

I do believe it was love at first sight with Swiss Mobility’s Lara Side Pouch for the BlackBerry Pearl series.

Swiss Mobility offers phone, laptop, camera and iPOD cases that are manufactured by Cellective Case Inc. They have carrying solutions for people of all walks of life.  Swiss Mobility isn’t affiliated with Swiss Army, which I am a fan of. The Lara Side Pouch is available at the ShopCrackBerry store in Black/Pink and Pink/White combinations. Read on to see how this pouch measures up with my better half…

Case Review: BlackBerry Leather Side Pouch for BlackBerry Curve and 8800 Series Smartphone

Blackberry Leather Side Pouch for BlackBerry Curve 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330 and BlackBerry 8800, 8820 and 8330

A Smart and Stylish Option to the BlackBery Leather Holster

An epic battle rages on in the world of CrackBerry Users and Abusers; How do you Carry your BlackBerry?!? I’m one of many users to wield the mighty BlackBerry Leather Holster. Brandishing the BlackBerry name, it promises endurance, loyalty and a certain sense of exclusivity that we all feel (Whether you like to admit it or not).

Time and time again, I have tested numerous accessories. Though I have found some excellent carrying solutions, I can’t help but find myself drawn to BlackBerry branded cases. Perhaps it’s the knowledge that BlackBerry knows how to make a case.  I’m always seen with my BlackBerry nestled into its holster, clipped to either my belt or pant pocket. Today friends, I find myself presented with another option. Shall I stray from a BlackBerry clipped to my pocket and actually have a BlackBerry slipped into my pocket? Introducing the BlackBerry Leather Side Pouch!!

BlackBerry Case Review: Seidio Super Slim Crystal Case and Holster for BlackBerry 8300 Series
By Gary Mazo | 24 Mar 2008 11:38 | 19 comments

Seidio Crystal Case and Holster for the BlackBerry Curve Series

This review will take a look at two products that are really designed to go together from Seidio; Their Slim Crystal Case and their Rubberized Holster designed for holding a “skinned” or “cased” BlackBerry Curve.

As I have stated previously, the Curve is almost too pretty to cover up – but it is too nice not to be protected. The Seidio Crystal Case offers a way of doing both – protecting the body of the Curve while still allowing the color and style to show through.

The holster just makes sense for those who like to carry their BlackBerry on their belt and want the features of the “in holster” profile on their BlackBerry.

BlackBerry Case Review: Speck Products SeeThru Case and Holster for the BlackBerry Curve Series
By Gary Mazo | 14 Mar 2008 10:46 | 22 comments

Speck SeeThru Holster and Case

To Protect and Preserve (the original look)

OK,  You just got the BlackBerry Curve – one of the slimmest, coolest and hottest Smartphones on the planet. Depending on the model, you paid anywhere from $99.00 to $250 or more for it. You hold it in your hand and it feels so nice, thin and…..fragile. You don’t want to drop it, but we all drop our BlackBerry at some point.  So, you need a case to protect it…just in case (sorry about the pun). Luckily, there are lots of options at the ShopCrackBerry.com Store.

One of the things I love about my 8320 is the color – I don’t necessarily want to mask or  cover that up in a case. Fortunately, I have a good option in the Speck Products SeeThru Case for the BlackBerry Curve 8300 series.

BlackBerry Case Review: BlackBerry Leather Holster with Swivel Belt Clip for BlackBerry Curve, Pearl, 8800 Series
By Kevin Hill | 05 Mar 2008 11:24 | 22 comments

BlackBerry Leather Holster

Even with so many excellent carrying solutions available for BlackBerry smartphones, Research in Motion's line of BlackBerry OEM cases and skins remain a top choice with BlackBerry users everywhere. There are three reasons why BlackBerry-brand accessories are top sellers: they are widely available (walk into your local carrier store or click into your local online store a la ShopCrackBerry.com and you are bound to find them); they carry the BlackBerry logo (cool!); and just like BlackBerry smartphones, they are simply Well-Designed and Well-Executed Products.

When it comes to selecting a holster for your BlackBerry, there are only a few things that one need consider. Does it keep my Berry safe? Does it fit well? Does it look good and does it allow me to access my phone in a timely manner? Does it have a sleeper magnet?

The Blackberry Leather Holster with Swivel Belt clip addresses all of these points admirably and is available for the BlackBerry Curve, Pearl and 8800 series smartphones in a variety of colors.
