SmartSig 2.0

There are some of us that have a need to add a signature to our email messages, and some (like me) that tend to be too lazy to change the "Sent from my BlackBerry" one set by BIS. Even editing that BIS signature isn't a perfect solution though, as it gets put smack at the bottom of the email you are sending, instead of at the end of your particular reply. SmartSig allows you to make a custom signature, and actually insert it where you normally would if using Outlook. A variety of options are available, with filters determining when the signature will be applied. You can even backup and restore your signatures using Desktop Manager, saving you time and effort when upgrading your OS. Available with support for OS 4.5 and up, including OS 6 in the CB store for $2.99.

Contest: We have 25 copies of SmartSig 2.0 to give away! Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries won't count.

Take control of your signature with SmartSig 2.0 - 25 free copies to be won!

This would be a great utility to have. I use two different gmail accounts and a BES email account. This would make like easy so that I can use the correct signature and not have to type it every time. Hope I get picked!

Hey, this is kind of a cool app. Wouldn't mind it - kinda wishing my work emails would have our correct signature when I do it from my bb.

To have this would be invaluable as having the Signature from BIS all the way at the bottom of the email is a pain, and doesn't help. Plus I am stuck with the same signature no matter who I am sending an email to; which is very impersonal:(

I hope that I get chosen as I could really use this app:)

OMG! Yes! I would just ADORE not replying to a client and realizing that at the end of my email there's "sent from my blackberry on the telus network" ! SO frustrating!

Looks much more fully featured than just using "autotext" in options to redefine, for example "zz" as I read in a tip ages ago, for signature.

Sounds like a great app!! I have been scraping by with AutoText... which seems to work, but this would be ideal!

TIA :)

GREAT...Finally I can John Hancock all of my messages regardless where of where I send them from without going into the settings.. Thanks CB...!!!

Apps like this need more visibility! We need more usefull apps like this one crowding the App store. Count me in on the contest too!

This is a really nice and handy tool. Will make it very easy to manager signatures for various accounts at once.

I have been using autotext for this for years.
at the end of the message I type qa of qw depending on what I want and press enter. My signature is then added.

goto, settings -> autotext -> BBbutton -> new -> and type what you want.

very easy and... free

and possible for years and years

This is a very useful app Swift Raven!
Very simple and useful, especialy for buisness.
I definitly have a use it, and would luv to win a free copy.
Thanks for the chance to win CB.
Good luck everyone.

Man, for the Blackberry to be touted as a business device we have waited a long time for a program like this. Pick me! I want it!

its gonna be really useful if it works well.

couple of my staff wants this long signature to appear for some reason.

hope i can win 1 to test :P

No need to wait until the contest is over to try SmartSig out. There's a demo version available in the store. You can download the demo and it runs in trial mode until an activation code is entered. It just adds a "This signature was added by SmartSig" line to signatures while it's in trial mode. But other than that the trial is fully functional so you can decide if this fits your needs.

Sweet. I would love to have this since I can't get on the Sprint BIS for some reason to change it on my own.

This would be a great app to have. I have multiple email accounts delivered to my phone. This would be easy to guarantee that the correct signature is used. Maybe I'll win for a second time.

How about just using autotext? I have my signature saved, ansd if I want my signature on an email, all I have to do is type "mysig", and there it is. And that's free. ;)

True, but what if you are like me with 8 email accounts in my device, each with it's own business signature and you don't want to hassle with remembering to trigger the auto text? This does the signature insertion automatically.

So does this app also work if you do not use outlook for email? I have a web-based email now but intend to change to gmail.

'Sent from my blackberry wireless device' is a class signature.

But how sweet would it be to make mine better, more personal. Sure I can do it through my email options but it doesn't work like outlook. Which rocks.

This looks sweet, my 9700 looks sweet, together they would look really sweet.

I just signed up at CB. If I don't win this, I will buy it. This feature really should be built in, but I'll take what I can get.
