Just a few weeks ago we unveiled the newly revamped CrackBerry Superstore. With this mobile client, you can browse all of the apps, themes, games and even accessories available for purchase from all of our stores. The new layout makes things easier to navigate, and helps you get to exactly what you want. With the ability to search new items, deals, bundles and top-selling apps, you can check out all of the latest and greatest right from your device. The video above takes a look at all of the features of the store (its kind of long, but there was a lot to cover) and will give you a better idea of just how it works. If you haven't installed the mobile Superstore yet, you can download it free from software.crackberry.com/appstore.asp.
One of the biggest trends lately has been foursquare. Part social network part game, foursquare has taken off as of late and many BlackBerry users are getting in on the action. While obvisouly not for everyone, foursquare can be loads of fun as you try to earn points, badges and mayorships and helps you keep up with your friends while you're out and about. The current app is still in beta and not totally perfect, but it does work very well and the foursquare team seems to be hacking away at some good updates. If you're a current forusquare player or just looking to get into the game, the free app is definitely worth checking out. Take a look at the video above for a walkthrough of the current features of the foursquare app for BlackBerry.
Skype Mobile for Verizon released yesterday, and while not the greatest client for BlackBerry, it does get the job done. You can view all of your Skype contacts, as well and IM and make calls through your device. Depending on who or where you are calling, the charges vary, but Verizon has created a decent FAQ page that pretty much explains how it all breaks down. You can also check out some how-to videos on the page that will help with setting up and getting around the app. Check out the video above for a quick look at what Skype Mobile has to offer.
While not for everyone, MLB.com At Bat 2010 really is where its at when it comes to keeping track of scores, news and standings through the entire MLB season. The app gives you full power over all of the stats for the whole league, and is truly a great way to keep up with your team while you're on the go. You can choose your favorite team, view upcoming games, box scores, news, stats, standings, game highlight videos and even live gameday audio. At $14.99, its priced much higher than your standard BlackBerry app, and although there are numerous free alternatives, MLB.com At Bat 2010 is the most in-depth and coolest way to keep track of the league on your BlackBerry device - any hardcore fan will want to have this one. Check out the video above for a quick A to Z, and hit the link below to download.
With all of the third-party apps we install on our device's, we tend to forget there are some great native apps that come installed right out of the box. The Tasks app is one that I really never used in the past, but I've started to find more value in it recently. It can be used for various things, including to-do lists, reminders or even a shopping list. Its pretty easy to get the hang of as it doesn't have too many options to get in the way. Check out the video above for a quick look at the Tasks application and just how it gets the job done.
SmrtGuard is one of those apps that just works. It gives you peace of mind that your device is safe and can be remotely wiped of all data should it ever be lost or stolen. You can backup/restore data, remotely wipe and locate the device, protect your SIM from being swapped out and more. I love having it installed as it can be used both as a backup tool and has loads of security features. Everything can be managed from an easy web-interface (check out what it looks like after the jump) and it just does what it does. Hit the video above for a quick look. SmrtGuard is available in the CrackBerry App Store for monthly, semi-annual and annual subscriptions. A free version is available in BlackBerry App World that gives you the remote tracking, remote wipe, personal guardian and SIM guardian all for free (so you have no reason not to try it). Check the links below for more info.

One of my most used apps has to be QuickLaunch. It is an extremely valuable app that allows for easy access to loads of BlackBerry functions. You can set it to launch applications, web sites, quickly compose emails, make phone calls and more. It integrates extremely well with the operating system, and with a few clicks you can get things done instead of having to search around or click through various apps. QuickLaunch sells for $4.99 in the CrackBerry App Store and is well worth it. Check out the video above for a quick look at all of the application features. If you aren't currently a QuickLaunch user, you should be - and that's all there is to it :-)
The long awaited Kindle app for BlackBerry is finally here. While not the biggest screen to read on, most of us carry our BlackBerry everywhere we go, so being able to read a book at any given moment is definitely welcome. The app has a fair amount of features (it could still use a few more options) and everything loads super fast. You can store and read Kindle books, as well as browse and purchase from the huge selection in the Kindle Store. Check out the video above for a look at the app, and head to amazon.com/kindlebb to download it free.
Pandora for BlackBerry was picked as the top streaming media app for BlackBerry in our Best of 2009 Awards, so we figured it would be worth giving it a quick A to Z for those of you who haven't tried it out. Pandora is totally free, and lets you stream custom radio stations to your device. You can create stations right from the app, and tweak them to your liking with Pandora's "thumbs-up" and "thumbs-down" buttons. The app syncs up with any stations you've created through the web or another device, and gives you a quick and easy way to stream music on the go. This is really a "no frills" app - its does what it needs to with no excessive options or erroneous features. Check out the video above for a look at what Pandora has to offer.
We're a few weeks into the football season, and many of you have Yahoo! fantasy teams to track. Why not get the most out of your BlackBerry and use the Y! Fantasy Football '09 app to keep your team going strong. Take a look at the video above for the scoop on the app, and for more information check out Y! Fantasy Football '09 in BlackBerry App World.
** BerryBuzz is today's CrackBerry Deal of the Day - if you like it, you can grab it at half price! **
This is the first in what I hope will be a great resource for the CrackBerry readers. Each week I plan to take an application from A to Z and give a brief and hopefully useful overview/review. Sure you can look at pictures and read reviews all day long, but wouldn't you rather see it in action? I know when I go to pick up an app, I sometimes have specific questions about functions, options etc. and I want to see it live. So I hope to give you a broader look at some of the most popular and newest BlackBerry Apps through the power of video (and a fantastic narrative) as we go from A to Z.
This week we will start off with what is one of my favorite apps for BlackBerry - BerryBuzz. I won't get into the details here and I'll let the video do the talking.
