Slick is the newest theme creation from WJD Designs. As with all of WJD's themes, Slick is totally custom and features icon set alterations of red, green, blue, and yellow. These icons are also animated and bounce when you scroll through them. This theme also sports a very slick wooden dock, and is very wallpaper friendly.

Overall, Slick is a very nice theme, and great way to spruce up your device, giving it a cool, custom look. You can pick it up at the CrackBerry App Store for $2.99. It is compatible with the 9000,95xx, 96xx, 9700, and Torch 9800.

After a brief hiatus, WJD Designs is back with another awesome theme for your BlackBerry smartphone. As with all of his themes, Vibrance is totally custom, and personalizes the theme thoroughout. It's custom battery and signal meters along with very bright colors really makes this theme jump out at you, hence the name. Vibrance is very wallpaper friendly, and each version contain a weather dock as well as a hidden dock.

This was a big week for Google as they held their long awaited Android 3.0 Honeycomb event on Wednesday. While this may be an OS for Android tablets, that doesn't mean you can't replicate the look and feel of it on your BlackBerry smartphone! WJD Designs has handcrafted a beautiful new theme appropriately titled HoneyBerry to do just that.

The HoneyBerry UI was built from the ground up, and it looks and performs incredibly. The home screen holds 6-8 icons (depending on device), awesome new battery and signal meters, and a handy Google search widget so you can always find what you need right from home! From here, you can use the arrows at the bottom left of the screen to scroll to a full page for calendar entries, and in the other direction a full page for messages. That's a great feature for all of you busy and organized people out there! There are many other hotspots and keyboard shortcuts integrated into HoneyBerry, which makes this theme super functional and highly desirable.

Tronic is a newer theme from WJD Designs, that has recently been updated to support the Curve 8900, and Torch 9800 due to popular request. The theme is visually striking, and packed full of customization. Tronic features control of how many icons rows you have, custom battery and signal meters as well as a "mesh wallpaper" that keeps the surrounding interface when personalizing your wallpaper. The overall look of the theme is brilliant and totally custom, and for some reason reminds me of a certain movie.

OK, before you read any further, watch the video above. I'm typically not one to jump on using a theme that makes my BlackBerry look like a different smartphone altogether (even though the OS-clone themes tend to be some of our most popular theme sellers), but the WJD Designs promo video is so good I think may just have to rock the new XDroid theme this weekend on my 9700. Here's the overview of the theme from the developer:

Welcome to XDroid, not your average Android based theme. This theme is inspired by Motorola's Android device named "Droid X"... This was made to reflect everything from the icons to your unread messages to the function of the on screen widgets. Using the power of SVG code we provided a way to show the calendar and messages widget with a tap of the screen and still let the user hide it with one simple touch allowing them to see their wallpapers. Along with the widgets are the custom user defined Icon spaces with the text under them to give that Android feel. We also have the Droid X style bottom launch dock which allows the user get to the dial pad / contacts / and app screen with a quick tap.  

XDroid is currently available for the BlackBerry Storms, Bold 9700, 9650, 9000, Tour 9630 and Pearl 3G (os 5.0 required). I know after today's sneak peek video of BlackBerry 6 by RIM, many of you are jonesing to get your hands on it! Until that happens, I think the next best thing one can have is a parity theme for your current device that provides a a little taste of BlackBerry 6 right now. Enter the Five Point Nine theme by WJD Designs.

Five Point Nine is essentially the same theme as WJDDesign's previously #1 best selling OS6 theme. It had to undergo a few minor tweaks to keep the lawyers from a certain company happy, including a branding change, but it's now back in the catalog available for sale. The folks from WJD Designs have been hard at work preparing some new themes for everyone. Having recently teamed up with JP Designs they have also now welcomed aboard KD. The combined efforts of all three designers has been pretty awesome as you can tell from the video above. Three new themes have been launched now. Synthesis, Opake and Pink Plaid are all available in the shop crackberry store. And looking at the design flow going here, they all look to be pretty sexy. Opake even supports the BlackBerry Pearl 3G so if you are new to that device, you might as well grab yourself a new theme to go with your new Pearl.

I've always like the idea behind animated BlackBerry themes, but the problem that I have found with many of them was the fact some feel rather basic. By basic I mean after a 3-5 day stretch, the animation really just isn't all that cool any more and I just want to move on to the next one. WJD Designs has managed to blow that idea out of the water with the latest creation to come from them. Clockwork, is a visually amazing piece of work that has challenged me to re-think what BlackBerry theme developers are capable of when creating themes. Remember the screen captures of that "personal concierge" app RIM put into a BlackBerry Developer presentation that had people wondering if by chance it could be a glimpse of what OS 6.0 is going to look like? It has been the cause of a lot of interesting conversation in the forums and must have struck a chord with theme developer WJD Designs too as demonstrated by their new theme SIX which emulates the app design in a theme and even makes room for two widget-styled apps. WJD Designs worked with Toysoft to put a working analog clock and calendar into the theme. Definitely cool to see some collaboration in the app/theme space.

WJD Designs has always been a fan favorite among theme lovers out there. Waynes latest creation is a premium theme called Azuric.
