I ran across this commercial for FedEx Office Print & Go today, and while it's not new exactly, I thought it was humorous as well as informative. Who can't use a laugh on a Monday, right? This ad features a couple of business men at FedEx Office, trying to print a document from their boss, using their BlackBerry Torches. It's a clever ad, and reminded me that I want to try this app out sometime. After watching the tutorial video for HP ePrint and seeing how easy it looks to print documents from your device right to the copier at FedEx Office, without ever having to wait for an employee to do it for you or rent the computers there to get to your document, I can really see how this would be a valuable application for anyone on-the-go that needs to print something quick. You can check out more information at the links below.

As you may have noticed from some of my earlier Bluetooth device reviews, I hate wires. So I jump at any opportunity to cut the cable and do something new over the airwaves. Printing wirelessly has to be one of the coolest things I can do with my BlackBerry.

After starting Fixmo Tools, I navigate to the Remote Print, browse for my file to be printed and send it to my computer. Not being content with that, the actual printer isn't even connected to that computer. So my laptop wirelessly connects to the desktop and from there to the printer. All of that accomplished by Fixmo Tools. Well, almost all of it.

A question I am often asked is "How can I print from my BlackBerry?". Tazzle IT is one of the ways to do this. Not only does it print, but it alslo allows you to view content from your BlackBerry, on your PC. Tazzle IT is also great for controlling PowerPoint Presentations and more. It does require the purchase of their bluetooth enabled USB key, but for professionals who need these features it is definitely worth it. If you haven't checketd out Tazzle IT, you should definitely give it a look. The app itself is free and very simple to use. It is available for all BlackBerry devices.

We met Cortado at WES this year and they offer BlackBerry users the ability to print to WiFi or Bluetooth printers.  For enterprise customers a Cortado server is installed behind the corporate firewall offering secure remote printing to any company printer from anywhere in the world.

Another great feature is allowing you to access files stored on network drives at the office.  I was very impressed with the product and found it really cool and could be very useful in an orgainization that can afford and justify the cost of the server and license.

What blew me away was when they announcedat WES a personal version which offers free printing to any WiFi or Bluetooth printers.  Additionally they give each user 1GB of web based storage for files.  This now gives you the ability to print from files stored in the cloud or on your BlackBerry handheld.

Kodak was on hand at the BlackBerry booth CES 2010 demoing their new app for BlackBerry that allows you to print documents wirelessly from your BlackBerry. Check out the video above to see the demo. Cool stuff. Yet another thing you can do with your BlackBerry. :) Only potential downside here is that the integreation is via Documents2Go, so if you're one of those people who uninstalls it to save app space you likely won't be taking advantage of this.
