UberSocial for BlackBerry has been laying low for a while now, but is back today with an update. The new version is sporting a bunch of bug fixes as well as some new/updated features. If you haven't used UberSocial before, it's a worthy Twitter client for BlackBerry that is choc-full of options and Twittery goodness. Updates include:

• Initial integration of your facebook newsfeed, post, page, profile and picture viewing and more
• Facebook Likes and Comments
• New icons and refreshed colors and generally cleaned up the user interface
• Reformatted trending topics for better readability
• Fixed refreshes based on email notifications from Twitter
• Added ‘bubble help' to the tweet composer
• Fixed bug with background images with installable themes getting scrambled on newer devices

If you use Twitter on your BlackBerry, chances are you have heard of, tried, or currently use UberSocial. This popular app has just been updated to v1.304, fixing a bug in the character count on the compose screen while also giving this screen a simpler, roomier look. They have also completely re-written the Facebook OAuth logic, resolving the issue with the Facebook web page not rendering correctly on the built-in browser widget and the in-ability to login if you setup your Facebook security to require the naming of a new device login.

We have previously seen various themes become available for UberSocial for BlackBerry but downloading them required you to go to the UberSocial site instead of just being able to grab it right through AppWorld. That seems to have changed, and now all the themes are listed in AppWorld for your easy downloading pleasure. I'm not sure if these get updated periodically, I would assume they will be updated when the app is updated, so it will be much easier to get notified of these updates having installed it through AppWorld. If Twitter for BlackBerry isn't your cup of tea or you're still trying to get your hands on a copy of SocialScope for BlackBerry then chances are you're making use of UberSocial to fire off your daily tweets and if so -- you're now able to download the v1.3 update that has plenty of new additions and fixes:

If you have used or read about the Twitter client UberSocial, odds are you know that many users love the ability to change themes on it. 50cent himself even had a custom Uber50 theme made for the application. Today the folks at UberMedia have released yet another theme for the application, this time a martial arts styled theme named UberWarrior. The theme has a custom martial arts background, with a grey, black and red color scheme, and is available as a free download. You will need to be running the latest version of UberSocial for it to work, so be sure to hit the source link and get yourself all set up.

Today UberSocial has announced a rather huge BlackBerry update in which they added direct support for BlackBerry 7 and much more. UberSocial has always been a rather popular client on the BlackBerry platform, and they have continued to support and update the application while bringing as many new features as possible, and this time they come back with another huge update. Check out some of the changes:

• Direct support for the latest OS 7 BlackBerry devices
• For BlackBerry OS 6.0 and 7.0 devices we now support the home screen message notification bar so DMs, @replies/mentions and inner circle tweets will show up there for quick access from the device home screen. When you see the mini UberSocial icon, click the bar and the tweets/DMs that caused the notification will be displayed along with a snippet of the tweet. Clicking the tweet snippet will take you directly to it.
• Fixed bug where mini-icon would sometimes have a zero next to it
• Improved load times for the inner circle timeline
• Added a 'Theme' menu itme so you can easily change themes from the home timeline without going into options
• Changed the menu text of 'My Timeline' to 'My Tweets' to more accurately reflect the functionality
• Support for new device screen sizes for installable themes

The uber popular Twitter app UberSocial has added a new theme just in time for all you football fans out there. The popular Twitter app UberSocial for BlackBerry has gotten a big update today! Version 1.20 has quite a few bug fixes as to be expected, but they have also added in some neat features. The first of those is called The Inner Circle, which allows you to add people to an exclusive timeline. You can set separate notifications for this timeline too, so you'll never miss out on the tweets you want to see. The Uber team has also added DealBox, which is a new feature that shows you customized deals near you. When new deals are available, a notification will appear on the icon in your Uber Bar. They have also added in support for Twitter's new photo service, authentication requirements, and enhanced image viewing and handling.

For those of you still lost when it comes to what Twitter client to use we have some great news of you're a former UberTwitter user. Twitter has removed the suspension on the oh so popular Twitter client after the changes were submitted for it to be known as UberSocial. UberSocial has been re-enabled and as such can now be downloaded directly from the UberSocial website. Now that the mess has been cleaned up and things are right in the Twitter universe again, enjoy folks!
