It looks like Starbucks hasn't had too much success with their Starbucks Card Mobile for BlackBerry as they are calling it quits from here on out. The app is listed as no longer available for download on their BlackBerry page. The app originally surfaced to the delight of many users a little over a year ago, and while it wasn't available for too many devices, it still seemed to be a hit. While the app isn't officially supported, you can still grab it OTA here (for OS 5+) but keep in mind it may not be stable on your device, so be sure to backup first in case you have any issues (and we can't be held responsible if you brick your phone). The Starbucks Card Mobile app made its full debut a few weeks back however it lacked Torch support. In an announcement via Twitter Starbucks let the world know they have finally added support for the Torch 9800. If you haven't seen it before, Starbucks Card Mobile lets you purchase drinks using only your BlackBerry. Just enter the info from your Starbucks card and you're able to track your balance, rewards and purchase drinks at pretty much every Starbucks location. The app is totally free - to download just text "GO" to 70845.

Back in September we let you know that Starbucks was testing out their new mobile card app in limited markets. It looks like their testing went well, because starting Wednesday, January 19, the app is going official across the US. What does this mean for you? Just enter your Starbucks Card number and your BlackBerry Tour, Curve or Storm becomes your Starbucks Card. You can register your card, check your balance and track the Stars you earn toward free beverages through My Starbucks Rewards.

And here’s the coolest feature: you can pay for your drink using the Starbucks Card Mobile app! Enter your card number and your device will display a barcode you can use as your Starbucks Card to make purchases. Mobile Pay is available at more than 7,500 Starbucks stores, including all Target Starbucks stores, in the United States. To download Starbucks Card Mobile for your BlackBerry, text GO to 70845.

I hope Starbucks expands the availability of the app to more BlackBerry models and other countries, and soon! There is a huge chunk of market out there they are missing out on with the current limitations.
