This one has been floating around the web for a while it appears, but Matthew brought it to our attention yesterday and I'm not sure how we missed it for so long. This is by far my favorite of all the BlackBerry themed songs we've posted thus far. Here we have Phil & Friends in and informal jam session singing about all that is BlackBerry. The song is super catchy and really well done, and once again sure to be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Granted there is an iPhone floating around in the video, but since the song is so good we'll let them slide just this once. Check out the full video above and get your BlackBerry jam on :-)
If you managed to get Swaggberry out of your head already we have another BBM song to implant in your mind for the day. This time Jim Jones asks What's Your BBM? No fun video to go along with this one (yet!), but the tune is pretty sweet and you'll most likely be singing this one for the rest of the day. The song speaks on the fact that many just want to use BBM - "don't text, don't call me honey" - and not SMS, email or phone.
It actually makes a pretty valid point in the process. As my buddy Anton Wahlman pointed out recently, many "a-listers" really rely on BBM for secure conversation and won't be switching away from BlackBerry anytime soon. Since they don't have to give out their actual phone number or email address, giving out their PIN for BBM only to people they want to talk to is a pretty solid solution. Users obviously have the ability to approve or decline requests so as opposed to having anyone who wants to call or SMS, BBM gives you control over just who can contact you. Hit the video above to check it out. The video does contain some foul language so its pretty much NSFW.
It's been a while since we've seen a new tune about BlackBerry hit YouTube, but JJ Money comes through this time with the song Swaggberry. It is another song to add to the extensive list of BlackBerry/BBM tunes and it doesn't disappoint. Swaggberry is all about BlackBerry - "if you ain't got no PIN, I don't want your number. The only way to meet is through BBM". This is one more that will surely be stuck in my head for the next week or so. Check out the full video above, then just try to stop singing it in your head before the end of he day :-)
It's been a bit since we've had a good BlackBerry song come into the tip line, but Blake sent this in today and it made my day. While many users out there love their BlackBerry, it's not often they choose to sing about it and throw it up on YouTube, but Blake did just that. Through his original rap, Blake drops his praises of BlackBerry and disses Apple a bit in the process. A fun one to get your Tuesday started, so check out the full video above. Thanks for the shoutout Blake!
Sean Kingston is the latest star to get in on the BBM song action. This latest release is titled BBM (imagine that) and features Soulja Boy & Teairra Mari. Its all about BBM and that's that. This is yet another catchy tune we'll have to add to the already growing list of BBM songs like Ping Me Baby and BBM Me Up. Have a listen to the video above. Thanks to everyone that sent this in!
It seems like a weekly thing now (which isn't so bad) and here we have another BBM song for your listening pleasure. This one is by Breeze and SP and called Let's Be Friends [Hit Me Up On The BBM]. I watched the entire video for this one and I have to say it is definitely one of my favorites to date. Check it out for yourself (the actual song starts about at about 1:07) and drop a comment with your thoughts. How does this compare to other BBM hits like BBM Me Up and Ping!!! Me Baby? Thanks Brandon!
A little surprise popped up for those in attendence at the BlackBerry DevCon10 party. Riz, creator of the insanely catchy hit Ping Me Baby was there to perform live. Honestly, I missed the performance live so glad to see that it was caught on video. Check it out and don't forget you can grab the ringtone from the CrackBerry ringtone gallery as well.
The latest email to the tip line let us know that we have yet another BBM song to add to the CrackBerry playlist. This one is by Riley and called BBM Me Up. All about BBM all the time -- the way it should be. This one is pretty good - I'm not sure I like it as much as Ping!!! Me Baby but it gets the job done. You have to hand it to RIM too - they brought out Riz to the DevCon party last night to sing Ping!!! Me Baby live.
It seems like there is a neverending supply of BBM songs and I had no idea there were so many out there. Give it a listen and drop a comment with your thoughts! Thanks Mike!
The other day when we posted the above video of the BBM theme song we thought it was really cool. Apparently, we weren't the only ones. Yesterday, the creator of the song Riz emailed us and asked if we could actually go ahead and post up the ringtone for everyone to download. Reason being, he can't keep up with the requests for it any more as he's been dolling out the link individually on his own. Needless to say, we kinda feel a bit responsible for that happening so alas, we've posted the ringtone for Riz and you all in the CrackBerry ringtone gallery for quick and easy downloads. Be sure to check it and the many other ringtones available there or create and upload your own for for all to enjoy!
We've seen a bunch of music videos dedicated to BlackBerry over the past few years. Some awesome and some well, not so much. This one however, is really kinda catchy and if you don't really like the song, you have to admit the video to go with it is genius, yet simple. Riz, the artist behind the song is also giving away a BlackBerry Bold (no, we dunno which version) along with a free mp3 download of the song itself. You can hit the website for more details on that. Side note, notice the timestamps? A lot of takes and editing I assume.
