Jerome let us know that his awesome app Show Me the Images has been updated to version 1.3. The new update brings some new features as well as fixes to keep things running strong. In case you've never heard of it, Show Me the Images lets you automatically show images in your emails so you don't have to choose to download them. You can choose to download for all emails, or create a "safe list" of specific addresses. Updates include:

  • Cleaner interface
  • Consolidate Addresses - Ability to scan safelist/blocklist for address that have common domain names and create one entry out of many!
  • WiFi-only download of images to save on data charges for users on limited plans
  • Download Attachments option to Show Me the Images menu entry (OS 5.0+; Images only)
  • Backup and Restore menus to Options screen.
  • Add e-mail address found in an active field to safelist or blocklist

Show Me the Images is a nice application that makes viewing HTML email a bit more convenient. Once setup, images will be automatically displayed when opening up an email. You are given multiple options for which email to have images automatically displayed including all, safelist (manually add sender to a list), and all with block list (manually block senders). You also have an option to automatically download picture attachments, and can even select the folder you would like them downloaded to. Overall Show Me the Images is a good buy, and saves you from having to hit options> Get Images on each email you receive. It is available for all devices running OS 4.5+ for $2.99 at the CrackBerry App Store.
