It's not her first video appearance and you'll have your own opinion as to whether it looks good or not, but if you are craving to see more of the BlackBerry Style, keep reading. PoderPDA has namely put up a couple of videos on youtube showing the clamshell in all its glory. This particular device rocks firmware v6.0.0.203 and makes the Pearl Flip look unstylish in comparison (sorry for the pun). The first video (above) shows off the hardware while the second video (below) takes a look at BlackBerry 6. The videos are en Español, but there is not much we already do not know about. So grab some snacks, lean back and enjoy the show!

Here we go! Another round with the BlackBerry Bold 9780 running BlackBerry 6 has shown up along with some up nice, bright clear pics of the device over at BBleaks. Sure, we know it's just an upgraded BlackBerry Bold 9700 and aside from the OS and 5MP camera there really isn't anything ground breaking here. But, it's just so nice to see some iteration of the the 97xx series running BlackBerry 6 since, we're STILL waiting for an official response from RIM regarding what devices are BlackBerry 6 capable but, I digress a little. Hit the jump for the images.

AT&T sending out invites to special BlackBerry event in NYC?!

Word is popping up all over the internet and we too got our invite to a special BlackBerry event to be held on August 3rd in NYC. If all goes according to the rumors, we should be seeing a full blown announcement of the BlackBerry 9800 there although, AT&T nor RIM have specified in the invite what it may be. Time will tell of course but, the pieces are all fitting in nicely here. Who's ready to for the BlackBerry (Torch? Bold?) 9800 on AT&T?!

Another BlackBerry Bold 9780 appearance

Another BlackBerry Bold 9780 appearance

Since we outted the UAProf and Salomondrin posted up the first image, the information surrounding the BlackBerry Bold 9780 hasn't really stopped. Seems once you out a device, more and more people step forward with some new pieces of information or new pictures. This time, Driphter.com has posted just a few images of the BlackBerry Bold 9780 home screen, OS and memory screen. Now, someone getting working on video please. We really need to see BlackBerry 6 running on a qwerty device.

Another quick look at the BlackBerry Curve 9300

The folks over at BBGeeks have brought us all another quick look at the BlackBerry Curve 9300. All in all, not a whole lot of new information has come about for the BlackBerry Curve 9300 but, we pretty much know all there is to know about it anyways. The specs have been known for a while now and we've even got the majority of carriers that will be taking it on, ie: T-Mobile, Bell, Rogers etc.

Some rather new information to come from the article over at BBGeeks though is that according to some of their sources, there is still a chance for those of you out there that pick up the BlackBerry 9300 to get at least a taste of BlackBerry 6 with this device. According to what BBGeeks has been hearing, there is still a slight chance (70/30) we'll see the WebKit browser placed into this device. So while it'll not be a full blown version of the media-centric BlackBerry 6 we've seen of late, it will have the updated browser.

All things considered, it really doesn't make sense to put a full blown version of BlackBerry 6 on the BlackBerry Curve 9300. It was not designed for that purpose. it was designed to be a cost effective communication tool and not a mediacentric workhorse that we've come to expect from say the BlackBerry 9800. Personally, if I was concerned about device cost yet, still wanted to have a functional BlackBerry device on hand there is no reason to not pick up the BlackBerry 9300 when it arrives across carriers. All too often we forget, some folks don't need the latest and greatest. Some folks just need something that just works.

Rumored BlackBerry Devices

With BlackBerry 6 getting closer and upcoming BlackBerry device chatter and excitement heating up again (think slider, tablet, curve 9300, storm3 and more...) we figured we'd make things easier to follow moving forward by bringing it all together in one place. The CrackBerry blogs will always bring you the latest information daily, but if you find yourself having trouble keeping all the rumors straight or just need to get caught up in one shot, our rumored devices page will help you out.

When you visit crackberry.com/rumored-devices you'll find a nice one page table summary with the latest information on the rumored upcoming BlackBerry devices we've been hearing about. We'll do our best to always keep the page updated and current. It often starts with a codename, then a device model number and some specs. Then you get more specs, and finally pre-release photos and videos emerge as the device gets closer to market. Enough talk. Follow the link below to check it out. Don't forget to bookmark the page!!

BlackBerry 9800 (Torch, Slider) - Caught on video, yet again

Been waiting to see some more of the BlackBerry 9800? Sure you have. Even if you're still not overly fond of the device, you're curious to see a little bit more of BlackBerry 6 being shown off on the device. This time, Salomondrin has taken the liberty of giving us an up close and personal look at the BlackBerry 9800. At this point, not much else can really be said about the device that hasn't really been said before. All just a little bit of eye candy for those of us waiting. Hit the break for the video and here's to hoping RIM unleashes BlackBerry 6 soon before we all have to riot in the streets with picket signs. No Torches though, as we'll still be waiting for release. Ya, I went there and I'm not sorry.

BlackBerry Curve 9300 seeks FCC approval, sure to get it

** Update:  Sorry folks. Looks like this one isn't actually the Curve 9300 but rather a refresh of the 8530 device, now supporting CDMA AWS 1700. *

Research In Motion has seemingly snuck the BlackBerry Curve 9300 into the FCC recently. We've seen the BlackBerry Curve 9300 show up on many occassions now, even sporting quite a few odd colors. It's arrival in the FCC database seems to lend it's hand to the fact we'll soon be seeing it arrive in stores. As noted by Engadget, it's being shown off with the technical specs that meet that of some regional carriers in the fact it's listed as having Triband CDMA. If you're looking for a new Curve series device, this will soon be the best option. Those of you looking for a more spec'd out device; hang tight while the 9670 and 9800 finish baking.

More BlackBerry Curve 9300 pics arrive. This time in a interesting shade of purple

Salomondrin has taken a few moments to get some snaps of the next generation Curve. This time it was once again, T-Mobile branded but now sporting a lovely shade of purple. No idea if this is a color that T-Mobile will launch with or not but if we had to guess we'd say it's likely to happen. All that said, Salomondrin has noted that he'll be doing a walk through of this device and two others sometime soon so, here's to hoping he's found a magical Storm 3 and we'll all get a look at that.

T-Mobile branded BlackBerry Curve 9300 gets fondled on video

Well, this is a nice surprise. Seems the folks over at TechnoBuffalo have gotten their hands on a prerelease, prototype BlackBerry Curve 9300 and have given it a little bit of a run through for us all to enjoy. Yes, it may be not that exciting of a device for some out there but for others, this may be just what they have been waiting for. The interesting thing here is that it is currently T-Mobile branded and when things are branded that typically means they are close to production. Hit the jump, check out the video and feel free to comment.

Time for another CrackBerry Podcast! We had a lot of fun recording this one, so hopefully all of you CrackBery listeners out there will enjoy it too. Granted, we went a little bit overboard with the vuvuzela (now banned from all future podcasts), but between the horn blowing we managed to cover a lot of topics, including App World 2.0, and follow-up reviews of the Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G. We also touch on the CrackBerry Idol competition and how the action is heating up and the competition rounds haven't even begun yet and as always cover the rumormill. There's lots of good stuff buried in here, so give it a listen!. Enjoy the show!

Rumor: BlackBerry Onyx Delta - A BlackBerry Bold 9700 refresh?

There have been plenty of news floating around over the past two days regarding the BlackBerry Onyx II (delta). Some of hits on points relating it to the BlackBerry 9700a we saw the UAProf doc on previously, though that document showed the resolution as 360x480 (not 480x360) which previously linked the 9700a to the slider before it took the more official bump to 9800. But we're not exactly positive of the relation there so we won't speak about it but, rather stick to what we do know.

Judging by the rumors that are going around and things that we've been hearing as well, what we should be expecting Onyx II to be essentially a BlackBerry Bold 9700 with 512mb of RAM, a 5MP camera and of course the ability to run the fancy new BlackBerry 6 with Webkit baked in. The bigger addition to the rumors that we've been hearing on our end is that the device will also run a new updated processor and that can run OpenGL. If that is indeed the case and turns out to be true, it could be the first GSM device with OpenGL support (we're still not sure where the 9800 slider weighs in on the Open GL side of things... we're hoping it will get it first/too). If you tuned in to The Cell Phone Junkie Podcast last week where Kevin was a guest, he actually referenced the Onyx II and Onyx III (Onyx II has no touchscreen, Onyx III -- likely coming next year -- would add it). Lots of rumors floating around in BlackBerry land, that's for sure.

After hearing this news I began to really think about it and where exactly the Bold 9700 is going to fit in here. If it really is just a refresh of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 what does that mean for the current 9700 and its ability to run BlackBerry 6? Seems kind of strange to have a refresh of a fairly new device already in the works and it may not please a few people to know their device just got outdated so quickly, if all turns out to be more then a rumor.

First look at the next generation of low-cost BlackBerry Curve, the 9300...

** images removed per request **

Back on April 8th we outted a new BlackBerry device model by finding it's UAProf xml document up on BlackBerry's website, and now we've got the first solid photos of it here for you to enjoy. What you're looking at (more images below) is the next-generation of the BlackBerry Curve 8520/8530, the BlackBerry Curve 9300 (and we're sure a Curve 9330 CDMA variation is in the works too).

As you can tell from the photos and from what we gathered previously from the UAProf doc, the BlackBerry Curve 9300 is really a refresh to the 8500 series, adding 3G and the WiFi n standard on top of the existing 8500's specs (9300 retains the lower res 320x240 display). While we just received the photos today on the 'ole CrackBerry tip line, we're not totally sure on how new/old the hardware/software being displayed actually is. This unit is showing off OS 5.0 (while leaked photos of the 9800 and 9670 have been running BlackBerry 6) and only 256MB of memory vs. the 512MB newer devices are getting. I would **hope** by the time the Curve 9300s hit the market that they'd be running BlackBerry 6 and 512MB of memory, though it is possible that in a plan to further differentiate the lower end of the BlackBerry lineup from the higher end that RIM would keep the Curve platform on BlackBerry 5.0 and the 256MB of memory for the time being. You can just taste this one coming to AT&T and being promoted with their new $15/mo. data plans (especially if they leave WebKit off of it which will make it that much easier to stay under 200MB of data usage). We'll just have to wait and see how this one pans out. More photos below!

Updated Round Of 9670 Pics Show Off Some More Details

Just in case you were still clammoring (no pun intended, honest!) for more information about Research In Motions unreleased clamshell device we now got a few more pics for ya too look at courtesy of Cell Guru. As we can see from the pics, the BlackBerry 9670 will be running the same 1150 mAhr battery as the BlackBerry Pearl 3G.

In addition to a look at the battery, the pic of the application memory is worth note considering it's sitting at 283.4MB with no SDCard installed on the device. Not exactly certain what that means for overall device memory and RAM as of yet but given the pre release state of the device things can always change, so its best left for when we see later revisions that are closer to final production. Sadly, the engineering screen didn't give much information about the processor involved here but its safe to say it's at least that of the Bold series. Now, the only thing left that I'd like to see here since the devices are clearly in hand is a video of BlackBerry 6 running on the device.

BlackBerry Slider 9800 BlackBerry Slider 9800 BlackBerry 9670
Left two photos: BlackBerry 9800 slider; right: BlackBerry 9670. All on BlackBerry 6

Yes, we know the photos are not the highest resolution, but they're legit and they're showing off unannounced, unreleased BlackBerry Smartphones running a not-yet available operating system, which makes them cool.

On the two left photos, you have the upcoming BlackBerry 9800 "slider" showing off BlackBerry 6. In GSM dressings, we're thinking this is the device RIM's Founder and Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis was referring to when he said we'll see BlackBerry 6 launch next quarter. We don't know a ton about the device yet specs-wise or name wise for that matter, but the prevailing notion from what we have gathered so far is that it will hit AT&T first. Though a name is just a name, I'm curious to see what RIM ends up calling this one, as it'll be the first BlackBerry Smartphone to combine a touchscreen with a physical keyboard. To date, RIM's touchscreen BlackBerry devices have fallen into the Storm family of brand, but as I learned last week from RIM's VP of Product Marketing, within the US market the Storm name (to date anyways) has been exclusively licensed by Verizon. So if it's hitting AT&T, maybe we'll see it launch as a Bold Slider or Bold 9800 - unless RIM wants to introduce yet another brand family which seems a bit counter-intuitive seeing as they just gave the axe to the Tour brand.

And on the right we have the BlackBerry 9670, showing off a clamshell form factor containing a full qwerty keyboard. Yup, it's kind of hideous, but it's rocking BlackBerry 6 and apparently a 5.0 megapixel camera, which is hottt! This one is CDMA, and we've been hearing it's a device Verizon asked RIM to build - so if you're not liking the look of this one I wouldn't toss all the blame in one spot just yet. I'm sure we'll learn more about this one in the weeks and months ahead.
