Now that the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is over it's finally time to sit back, relax, and spend some quality time with your device. If you're looking for a game that's fun for the whole family then check out Ninja Jump by Pepper.pk, the developer behind Ninja Fruit Dash. So get ready to take on the role of the infamous ninja and scale the treacherous walls and jump for your life in this fun action game.

The object of the game is simple. Just tap on the screen to jump from one wall to the other to kill your enemies and eliminate your obstacles before they knock you down. As you climb higher and advance to each new level, you'll gather power ups and points along the way. When you collect three of a kind (i.e. shoes) you get another bonus. If you bump into an obstacle or a paper plane flies into you then its game over. You can also pick up the pepper power up which acts as a shield to block one hit.

Ninja Jump is an addictive game that runs smoothly and is not as easy as it looks. You'll need to be quick to maneuver around each object in your path, although I'm sure you folks will get the hang of it. It's currently available in BlackBerry App World for $.99 for devices running OS 5.0 and higher. With the somewhat disappointing announcement regarding email not being available natively on the BlackBerry PlayBook at launch, we knew it was just a matter of time before apps starting springing up to deal with the problem. The first I've seen is called Early Bird, by Pepper.pk.

Written specifically for the BlackBerry QNX OS, Early Bird runs locally on your PlayBook so you can store, read, and respond to email even when you don't have an internet connection. POP and SMTP protocols are supported, so you will have access to popular email clients like Gmail, Yahoo Mail!, Microsoft Exchange via POP and most ISP provided email accounts. No word yet on pricing or when Early Bird will be available, but it's one that I am definitely interesting in downloading as soon as I can.

Word games are really popular on mobile devices. Pepper.pk just released one for BlackBerry that is already a top seller on other mobile platforms called Skitrix. With this game, letters fall from the top of the screen. Your goal is to form 3-7 letter words and when you do the words disappear. The more letters in a word, the more points you get. There are also tiles with red and blue "pills" that will clear out an entire row or column and bomb tiles that clear out a row and column simultaneously, which can really come in handy when you're stuck. It's a really challenging and entertaining game that will keep you occupied for hours.

Skitrix is on sale for $1.99 as a special introductory price, and will be $2.99 regularly. You can grab it for your BlackBerry 89xx, 95xx, 9630/50, 97xx, and 9800.
