PayPal for BlackBerry has just been updated. BlackBerry App World recently gave out the notification for users to go ahead and download the update. As noted in the release, it is just simply bug fixes for the application. Personally having used the app since its intial release, I've never really had any issues with it. If you frequent using the PayPal app from your BlackBerry, you'll want to grab the update in case it covers some bugs you may have noticed that I have not. Keep in mind it may not as of yet have filtered all the way through BlackBerry App World, so if it's not showing yet, just check back later. Oddly though BlackBerry App World online shows .309. Might just be an error in the listing but I'm not certain. When the download is done, it does show as .301

Bump Technologies has made a name for themselves in the iPhone space with their awesome Bump app which allows for transferring of information. Just simply by bumping phones together you can transfer contact information, social network profiles and most recently, money via PayPal.

CNET has reported that Bump Technologies isn't stopping at just the iPhone platform though. CNET who was on hand for CTIA, found out when speaking to some folks from PayPal that the Bump system will be working its way into the Android and BlackBerry platforms soon. Personally, I can't ever see me making use of this for money transfer purpose. What about you folks? Leave us some comments.

Finally, after the announcement this morning and the long wait. You can now grab the download of the new Paypal "Send Money" application. The application it's self is a rather large download as you can see from the pic, rolling in at 1.6MB. The PayPal application is free to download and use, and is available on BlackBerry App World in Canada, USA, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Portugal and Australia.
