JeeoSuite enters public beta

JeeoSuite for BlackBerry

We are big fans of JeeoSuite here at CrackBerry, and for good reason. If you haven't heard of it yet, JeeoSuite is a wifi portal for your BlackBerry. You can transfer files, access email, bookmarks, stats, and tools right from your computer via your browser. This app is really awesome, and up until now it was also hard to get your hands on as mblware still had it locked down in a private beta. Well, the wait is over. If you've been itching to get your hands on JeeoSuite and you haven't been able to yet, you'll be happy to learn that you now can. Mblware sent out emails last night to people who had signed up but not been chosen for the private beta informing them that a public beta version is now available. To download JeeoSuite for your BlackBerry you can visit http://get.jeeosuite.com from your phone.

So go get signed up, install the app, and give it a go! If you're already part of the private beta, you will want to update your version of JeeoSuite as well. Full instructions on what to do once you've installed are after the break, and if you're still unsure of what exactly JeeoSuite is, or why you want it, check out the video below for a full rundown. Let us know what you think of it in the comments below or in the forums, and if you have feedback for mblware be sure to submit it to them!

Jeeosuite

A few weeks ago we let you know about a new app for BlackBerry from mblware called JeeoSuite that is currently in private beta testing. JeeoSuite is a wifi web-portal for your BlackBerry, and it's well on its way to becoming one of those "must have" apps that all BlackBerry users are going to want to get their hands on.

The early phases of testing revealed a ton of handy features, and we just learned that the next phase is rolling out soon and it's going to have even more cool functions for you to drool over. On top of the features listed below, you will now also have access to Mail (webmail for your BlackBerry), Calendar, Memos, and a Photo Browser! The team has also overhauled many other features of the app including the wifi File Browser. This is a really exciting update, and

I'm anxious to try out the new features! According to the JeeoSuite Twitter account, all of these features will be available in a free version, with a pro (premium) version to be released later. If you would like to sign up for beta testing, you can do so at the link below and you can check out the rest of the features and screenshots after the break!

Jeeosuite

While you may not have heard of JeeoSuite as of yet, we're pretty positive that once you get your hands on it you'll pretty much love it. The WiFi web portal designed for BlackBerry smartphones opens up quite a few options for BlackBerry owners. While some of the features have been around for a while, no one app has been able to bring them all together in as nice of a package as JeeoSuite. So what does JeeoSuite do exactly? Glad you asked. Check out the features listed below:

  • File Browser: Access your SD Card and Device Memory. Upload, Download, even stream media over Wifi to your computer web-browser.
  • Security: Upload / Download permissions can be quickly toggled right in the app for added security.
  • Optimize Memory: Never pay for a Memory Cleaning app again! Free up memory with the click of a button in JeeoSuite.
  • Screenshot: Take a snapshot of the current screen on your phone. Screenshots appear in your computer web-browser allowing you instant access.
  • Locate Phone: Nothings more frustrating than trying to find where you left your phone. JeeoSuite will send out an audible alert so you can track it down.
  • Bookmarks: Create and Edit Bookmarks. Take them with you where-ever you go and browse them on any computer.
  • Dashboard: View your phones vital stats like Memory Usage, OS Version, Battery Life, IP Address, GPS Location, and more in the System Dashboard.

The set up process is pretty darn easy as well. Download, install and enable WiFi. Once enabled, you'll be given an internal IP address to which you visit via your computer web browser. From there, you are presented with the JeeoSuite dashboard that allows you to control all the features available. The option to screen cap from your device to your computer is fast and easy and I won't admit to how many times I've had to use the locate phone feature to find my BlackBerry. A premium version is scheduled for later release but for now, we've got 100 invites to give away thanks to MBLWare. Drop some comments on the post, we'll pick some winners for next week.

*Also, please note: Jeeosuite makes use of the WiFi on your device. If your device does not have WiFi, please do not enter. It's rather pointless.*

Hypoxia

Fans of Hypoxia that are also BlackBerry 6 users will be glad to see this arrive. Hypoxia, the media player that not only plays music and videos from your network, but is also capable of streaming to devices has been updated for BlackBerry 6. Aside from being a great standalone media player, Hypoxias ability to stream that media to a wide array of devices is really the key feature. With Hypoxia you can:

  • Stream From: Your home, or work network using supported apps like Windows Media Player, TVersity and more with Hypoxia!
  • Stream To: All of your supported upnp devices like: Xbox 360, Windows Media Player, or another BlackBerry!

With other features such as full skinning support, Twitter integration and custom playlists and more, Hypoxia is an all around awesome media player. The application does cost $7.99 but, if getting the most of the media on your device is what you need then Hypoxias fits that area nicely. Be sure to read the full list of features and information available in the CrackBerry App Store. Oh and if you do decide to pick it up, make sure you grab the CrackBerry skin that was designed for Hypoxia via their website download. The skin was designed by Mr. Mike Hepples, himself. :)

hypoxia

I refuse to use the native media players on my BlackBerry. They function well, but there are a few reasons I eschew them. One major gripe for me is having to use a different app for each type of media I want to play. I have tried a few different apps over the last while, trying to find a better fit for my needs, and have found Flipside to be a great music alternative, and I'm currently using Good Video Browser for my vids. The problem is the same though, I still need a different app for each type of media. Hypoxia aims to solve that problem, giving me a one-stop shop for all my media needs and putting all of the media on my device within easy reach. No more having to exit out of my music player to look at pics I have taken. The UI is simple and clean, and a fair number of options are available within the app, including the increasingly popular ability to tweet what I'm listening to. One very cool feature is the ability to stream my media to/from my PC (uses a separate server program, available from their website) allowing me to access my entire music and video library right on my device. The developer has also integrated notifications into the app, allowing you to preview incoming emails, SMS, etc without ever having to leave the application, so you can decide if you want to answer that text from your wife or wait until the song is done. The most exciting thing about this app for me is that it is fully skinnable. Those who want to can create their own skins for the app, allowing a huge customization option for those out there who feel the need to make everything unique to themselves. Available in the CB store for $7.99 for multiple devices.

Contest: I have 25 copies of Hypoxia to give away! Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries wont count.
