If you are in the UK and thinking of either upgrading to the new BlackBerry Z10 or being sensible and jumping over to it from another platform you may well want to consider EE as your network provider. The BlackBerry Z10 is 4G ready on all networks but here in good old Blighty we currently only have one network offering 4G LTE and thats EE. Coverage is still limited to a selection of cities...

Today in the UK EE have rolled out the first 4G LTE network. Yes, we have been a bit slow here in good old Blighty. However, what does this mean for us BlackBerry users? UK smartphone fans have had some great news today as Everything Everywhere (the parent company of Orange and T-Mobile) have launched a new brand simply called "EE". Although Orange and T-Mobile will continue to operate and sell 3G phones, it is EE that is rolling out 4G LTE at long last. We've been hearing rumors non-stop for weeks now, and it looks like the 4G BlackBerry PlayBook is finally upon us. At Sprint’s Strategy Event today, plans were announced to convert the carriers CDMA 19900 MHz spectrum to LTE. Awaiting a nod from the FCC, this switch will also include making use of LightSquared’s 1600 MHz spectrum.
