Vigorous

If you are a diehard theme lover then no doubt you've probably heard of Elecite. Known for their quality and creativity, the very first theme I ever downloaded on my BlackBerry Bold 9000 was Scenic. What I love is that you're not just getting a simple background and a few modified icons, but a design that completely overhauls and reworks the entire interface of your device. Vigorous is their latest creation and it brings the same impeccable craftsmanship they add to all their products. This theme gives you everything at your fingertips without the need for universal search.

Shift by Elecite

If you are familiar with themes from developer Elecite, you know they stand for quality and originality. Each of their themes are handcrafted for superior function and style. Shift is one of Elecite's newest themes, and it is packed full of awesome features spread across 3 panels and 3 pages so you may never need to see your app screen again to find what you're looking for.

The first panel displays your 5 top icons, 4 popular standard icons, a weather slot (for BlackBerry Storm and Torch devices) and a Today preview so you won't even have to open your messages and calendar apps to view their contents. Panel #2 makes viewing Media extremely enjoyable. 5 icons get you to all of your Pics, Music and more instantly with customizable icons when you need them. On top of that, the Utilities Panel brings up all of your apps, quick notes and calculator. A bonus dock with 6 customizable icons allow you to make this tab extremely personal.

Overall Shift is a beautiful theme and once you get used to the layout I think it's a theme that will add a lot of efficiency to your device. Elecite also has a pretty good customer service department. If you have trouble with your theme after purchase, contact them and they will do all they can to be sure you're satisfied. Shift is available for $6.99 in BlackBerry App World and is compatible with BlackBerry 8900, 95xx, 96xx, 9700, and 9800 (OS 4.6 to 5.0 except the Torch).

New Premium Theme From Elecite - Gizmo

New Premium Theme From Elecite - Gizmo

Aside from the stir they created with their most recent Storm 3 tales and mock ups, Elecite has released a new premium theme called Gizmo. Personally, I'm digging the colors used in this theme but it certainly has a few other features that many folks will certainly enjoy. As described by folks from Elecite:

All of the homescreen icons in Gizmo are organized in a rack system. Each icon is placed in a slot that can be rearranged with the click of a button. The rack allows for quick access to your social, communication, media, options and more, a grand total of 25 different icons to choose from for a total of over 125 icon combinations! Not to mention a customizable 4 icon bottom dock and a dedicated clock icon. Gizmo is packed!

Elecite themes always managed to amaze me with their layouts and use of colors, you can check out all the screenshots over at their site. Just make sure that you check device compatibility before checking out.

10 Elecite Premium BlackBerry Themes Now On Sale

Here is a sweet deal for anyone who has previously thought of purchasing an Elecite theme but chose not to due to the price. From now until, March 18th you can grab Ace, Halcyon or Keen for only $.99 cents each. Personally, out of the three themes offered I'd have trouble deciding which to grab and would likely end up buying all three. Have at em folks and let us know which is your favorite in the comments.

Clarion- A Free Do It Yourself Theme From Elecite

Elecite has released their latest theme, Clarion. This theme however, is like no other Elecite has released. Clarion takes a "do it yourself" approach in the fact you essentially design the theme however you wish from a laid out set of options provided by Elecite. You can select your layout, icons, colors and font size after which you will be presented with a download link to your designed theme.

Currently, Storm owners are the only winners here as the set up is designed specially for those devices but here's to hoping Elecite expands the offering to other devices. I get the feeling they will once users see how cool the service is. At this time Clarion is a free theme, so give it a shot and be sure to let us know in the comments what you think of Elecites latest offering. Maybe we can convince em to speed up the process to offer it for other devices.

Elecite Releases Pulse As A Free Trial Theme For Storm Users

A few days back now, Elecite released a new theme just for BlackBerry Storm users called Pulse. This is the first where Elecite has offered it users a premium theme on a free trial basis. Offering free trials for themes is something that, in my opinion a lot of developers should really ought to try. It allows your users the chance to check out exactly how a theme will look and run on their device before laying down the cash to purchase.

In this case, Elecite has reduced some of the functionality in Pulse as some buttons to apps do not work. But overall, users can still get the general feel for the theme and then decide on purchase options from there. While this is just the first theme out the gate using this method, I hope Elecite keeps it up and expands to other devices as well. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think about the free trial option in the comments.

Elecite- Ace And Halcyon Premium Themes

Elecite- Ace And Halcyon Premium Themes

The theme builders over at Elecite have been taking themes to a whole new level these days. Two themes were released almost side by side a little while ago.

Ace has a "cover flow" app card design that works beautifully. While the apps are not customizable this way, Elecite has made the most common ones used, the ones that show up as cards. Thats not to say you can't customize the homescreen in any way though, Elecite also made the top half under the customize icon like a launcher, allowing you to input whatever apps you do so wish in that list.

Halcyon, was the next theme release. Including a bottom dock that houses 9 locked and ordered application icons: contacts, messages, calendar, tasks, memo, profiles, browser, facebook and twitter (ubertwitter). As well as a hidden today preview screen and visual effects such as over sized icons for easy navigation.

Elecite released a cool new theme a few days ago now. Plasma is the first animated background theme from Elecite. The pulsating wallpaper in the background is rather eye catching and can be turned on or off directly from the homescreen depending on your mood. An integrated weather slot and 11-12 icons take up the homescreen which allows for easy access to applications.

When clicking to the application screen you are welcomed with some unique icons. The icons are pictures of the applications you're trying to access, only minimized as seen in the video above. The notification system in Plasma is also one that is unique. If you have unread messages of any sort you will see the yellow star at the bottom turn red and then yellow again as messages are checked. Be sure to read the reviews from other users to get an idea of how it may function on different devices.

Liquid- A Premium Quick Access Theme From Elecite

The days are winding down to take advantage of the Elecite 50% off sale, which ends December 31st. All themes including the newer Liquid shown above are included in the sale. Liquid is one of the ones I personally grabbed due to the fact that it offers a quick access dock built right into the theme itself. Beautiful wallpapers, great icons and hidden today options make this one perfect for just about anyone. Supported devices include BlackBerry 8900, 9000, 9500, 9600 and 9700.

Elecite Releases Poser - A Fun Premium Theme

[ youtube video link for mobile viewing ]

Poser has been around for a few days now and after having checked it out I can surely say it's unique and not just your everyday theme. First off, it's the first theme I have used that is actually interactive and fun to set up. Secondly, this is a premium theme on a very unique level.

Poser allows you to take a pic of Stewie from Family guy and "pose" him how you do so wish. Right from your device you can customize the head, weapons, accessories, outfit and if you want you can even give it a poodle for a pet. The best part is you can choose from five pre-made backgrounds or you can use your own.

In addition to all that fun, Elecite is making a contest out of it as well. All you have to do is download the theme, make your own poser and screen cap it. Once screencapped, email it off to Elecite for your chance to win the cost of theme plus another free theme and be featured in the Poser top 10 hall of fame. Great idea, cool theme. Downside? Only available for Storm devices at this time. However, it is available at the 50% off bonus price.
