The very first CrackBerry GooseChase wrapped up Sunday night, and after review of all the submissions and some complicated computations, we have determined the winners, which you can check out below! BIG congrats to everyone taking home a prize (we'll be following up soon via email) and HUGE PROPS to everyone that entered and did such an amazing job. The quality and creativity of the photos was inspiring - it's so great to see SO MUCH LOVE out there for BlackBerry. 

You can check out some of the best submissions in the video above, or on the CrackBerry GooseChase Flikr acount. Descriptions of all the missions are after the break which will put the photos into perspective.

The GooseChase team sends a big thank you to everyone that participated. The level of effort and creativity was mind-boggling and we all had a lot of fun throughout the week. They also want you all to know they appreciate your patience while the bugs and kinks were worked out. Unexpected issues are one of the many fun things with products in their early stages, so your patience while they got a few fixes in was much appreciated. It's Friday, and just a few more days left in the first CrackBerry GooseChase! The competition isn't over yet, and in fact 20 new missions are being have been added today bringing the total number of missions to 130! You guys are doing such a great job at the first CrackBerry GooseChase! It looks like everyone is having a lot of fun with the missions, and the competition is really heating up. There's still time to enter if you haven't already! Check out the full rules and regulations at the original blog post and join in the conversation in the forums (links below). 

Yesterday we mentioned that 23 new missions were added and everyone jumped right in and started snapping pics for them. There are now over 100 missions to take part in, everything from getting a picture with Jim or Mike to fishing in a public fountain to kissing a live lobster. There really is something for everyone in this competition.

The CrackBerry GooseChase is going strong and we're seeing so many awesome photos being submitted, it's incredible! Currently we have over 1200 users, over 1400 photos submitted, and total points earned is almost 600,000! If you haven't signed up yet, or maybe signed up but haven't gotten around to submitting pictures for any of the missions, it's not too late! The GooseChase is on until Sunday, and top prize is a brand spanking' new BlackBerry 7 Smartphone and $150 in accessories from ShopCrackBerry.com. But that's not all, don't forget that 2nd-5th place also get accessories, and we're even giving away a bunch of prizes for other eye-catching submissions so if the leaderboard looks scary, don't let it get to you. Also, we just added a handful of new missions so you'll definitely want to check those out.

* August 15th Update: OK folks, our first CrackBery GooseChase is done and what an event it was. Stay tuned to CrackBerry as we post the winners and best photos! *

* August 9th Update: OK GooseChasers, Day 1 is off to a pretty awesome start and we have a lot of users competing fairly for their chance to win in the CrackBerry GooseChase.  We've got a couple updates here from the GooseChase team, so just wanted to get theme out for everybody to read:

•  For anybody who was experiencing an uncaught exception has been fixed and all users should download the latest build at crackberry.goosecha.se.
• A reminder that all scores on the leaderboard are subject to review. People who cheat will NOT win this event, regardless of how it looks on the leaderboard at any given time.
• Taking pictures of a computer screen is NOT allowed unless the mission explicitly calls for it (e.g. take a photo of their YouTube video, Poem Comment, etc.). Anyone found submitting an invalid photo (e.g. a picture of Jim Balsillie from the internet for J Baller!) will have their entire account deleted along with all of their photos. And we will actually do it.
• Note that all photos must be taken from within the GooseChase app on your BlackBerry Smartphone. For photos that require you to take a photo of your BlackBerry then, you can either: get creative with a mirror, put a friend's BlackBerry into the photo (PlayBooks count as BBs), or in an absolute worst-case scenario you could make up a cardboard representation of your BB (make it pretty!) that we'll allow to pass for your BlackBerry.
