No one enjoys being caught off guard by a sudden downpour, or step outside without a coat into the freezing weather, do they? We know that life gets busy, and it is not always convenient to stop and watch the news to see what the weather is, but there are many simple solutions to keep you informed while on the go, right from your favorite BlackBerry device. For me I always left it to chance, hoping that I would get lucky and have cooperative weather, but one to many sudden downpours and getting caught in a few too many snow storms, I figured it was time to keep myself informed, and when I began my hunt I realized there was quite a number of options for me to use. Last year we took a look at some of our favorite weather applications available then, so let's take another look at what is available for everyone this year.

Following up last weekend's news about RIM recalling ~1000 BlackBerry PlayBook units, we got the above image sent into us on the good 'ole CrackBerry tip line. It seems PlayBook retailer OfficeMax, on their mission of being ready for any questions customers may walk in with, let sales associates know to direct customers asking PlayBook questions to CrackBerry.com for additional information. Awesome stuff. It always feel good to be loved.

This article is the first in a series to showcase just what CrackBerry.com can do.  In this article, we'll show you how to quickly find just the stories you want to read.  You'll also become familiar with our superpages; pages that provide an easy way to access a wide array of information about a single product.  For example, our BlackBerry OS Superpage lists all of the newest official and leaked OS's for all the latest BlackBerry smartphones. 

Back at the end of 2010, CrackBerry.com got a remodel. It was on November 22 that we announced our completely redesigned website. On the surface, we added many visual improvements; larger headers, easier-to-spot titles, and a much more legible comment system.

Yet we changed more than just the way the site looks; we updated the way the site works. The other day, Kevin showed me this page about the BlackBerry Torch. Impressed, I asked him when he'd put that page on the site. Apparently, it's been there since the redesign.

There are a whole host of site improvements that we've made but haven't discussed. Today that changes. Whether you're new to the site or CrackBerry guru, here's how to get the most out of your CrackBerry.com.

We view the BlackBerry as a serious device that also has a lighter side and we’ve built CrackBerry.com to reflect that.  We’ve done our best to keep the site simple and intuitive while providing all the features we thought a site with a name worthy of the “2006 Webster’s New Word of the Year” award should have.

We’ve broken the CrackBerry.com website down into three main categories – Community, Forums, and Store.  Think Community for news, reviews, rumours, entertainment and useful information for new and experienced berry users alike. The Forum is your way to interact with other CrackBerry users  and the store will offer you the latest software, hardware accessories and downloads for every type of BlackBerry.
