You can choose to either purchase a new device for a cool $1000, or if you're a bit light in the wallet, maybe the $250 send-in option is a better choice. The Bold 9900 has options to color the front, back, back border, logo and frame so your imagination can run wild on this one. The Bold 9900 looks pretty amazing as it is -- but a bit of work to create that perfect color scheme can make it look amazing.

Create a custom design at Colorware

The latest addition to the Colorware catalog is the BlackBerry Bold 9780. If you are a big fan of the already blacked-out 9780 design, you can take you pick of loads of custom colors and have your very own creation. Go all white, CrackBerry purple/orange or hot pink -- it's totally up to you. Colorware does great work and even drops a sweet prize for a CrackBerry contest here and there. A full paint job will run you $150 on your 9780, and if you don't want to part with the device you can order just the parts and install them yourself. Hit the link below to check out more.

The Prize: The lucky winner will win a BlackBerry Torch 9800 and get to paint it in the color scheme of their choosing. Longtime readers of CrackBerry will know i'm a pretty huge fan of ColorWare, going back to my BlackBery Curve 8320 they gave the all white treatment too. If you desire uniqueness and have cash to burn, ColorWare is a great option.

New BlackBerry Torch owners looking to add a splash of color will be happy to know ColorWare is now giving the custom paint treatment to the Torch. It's not cheap though... $250 if you send it in, and a whopping $1050 if you buy the device new from them already painted (I'm not sure why they're charging sooo much to buy new - something seems out of whack there actually... will check into it with them directly). I think this time around I'm going to hold off ColorWare and wait for RIM to offer the Torch in white (need the white keyboard to match). Hopefully AT&T or Rogers will get on the all white bandwagon soon.

If you remember back to last year (not that it was that long ago) we ran a huge CrackBerry Colorware Contest so one lucky member could have the best Christmas ever and get a new custom Coloware Bold 9700.  Well its been a few weeks, and our grand-prize winner missginacandy sent me an email to let me know that her new 9700 had made its way to a good home.
