"The BlackBerry Mini Keyboard is an awesome setup that has me using my BlackBerry PlayBook more than ever."

The BlackBerry Mini Keyboard for the BlackBerry PlayBook is one of those accessories that everyone wanted at launch. I remember my excitement over the BlackBerry PlayBook Convertible Case; had there been a keyboard tucked into that package - I can only imagine how pumped I would have been. At the core, the BlackBerry Mini Keyboard is a Convertible Case just tweaked in various areas with a stand and bluetooth keyboard/trackpad combo. The keyboard itself looks great as the black/white/blue color scheme fits in with the rest of the case. As first glance you can see the keys will be a bit rough for those of us with bigger hands due to their small size. The OtterBox Defender Series case for the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and 9860 is overall one bada$$ case. It offers extreme protection from the harshest conditions and will certainly survive pretty much anything you can throw at it. The case itself is comprised of an inner hard shell and an outer silicone cover, giving it two layers of "you can scratch this" protection. The purgear hard shell and holster combo allows you to retain the size of the Bold 9900/9930 and adding a optional holster. Easy to snap on the device and out the door you go. The soft touch polycarbonate shell allows for the device to be placed in the pocket without picking up debris.

Though the hard shell does provide back protection, the case is limited to covering the sides and front of the device. The holster option is a nice fit, slim and hugs the hip no matter what you are wearing. Though at first it may seem difficult to remove from holster, I actually like the way the device is placed in the holster. The locking system is not much but it won't come loose no matter what i try and do. So if you have been on the hunt for a hard shell case with the holster option, the puregear case should fit your needs.

I can be rough on my devices. There hasn't been one yet that I haven't dropped, banged, thrown, or smashed in the display with a nail (true story). So as the resident klutz at home I'm always making sure I have a case on hand in case I destroy one. One of the things I'm seeing at CES2012 is that when it comes to tablet accessories manufacturers are veering away from specializing for just one product. They are now gearing towards universal sizes to span multiple devices. Golla Bags, the makers behind the popular smartphone cases, just announced their brand new zip folders line for 7" tablets.

I had the chance to sit down with Carolin Winter, the Trade Marketing Manager, who gave me a quick demonstration of the new bags and how well it fits the PlayBook. Not surprising the quality is top notch and, of course, coming from Golla, are fashionable as well as functional. As of now they only come in red and dark blue and feature a soft lining to protect your device from scratches, bumps, debris, and bangs. These cases will be hitting the US market sometime in late March, early April at local retailers. Keep your eyes peeled to the blog and we'll be bringing you a full review soon.

The Case-Mate POP! case for the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and 9900 has quickly won me over as an awesome accessory for day to day use. It has a really great feel to it and offers some good protection to keep your Bold 9930 or 9900 safe from the daily grind. With the POP! case on I wasn't worried about tossing my device on the table or afraid I'd drop it on the pavement getting out of my car. I feel that the POP! case will do a stellar job of protecting the device all around and it definitely makes a great alternative to other less impact-proof cases. Check out the video above for more.
