BlackBerry Tour 2 9650 Visual Voicemail Install Files Found Online

We've seen RIM's little mistake with the Facebook posting. Kevin went hands on with it way back in October of 2009 and finally, just like the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 it's been spotted more times then a leopard. Now, here are rolling into February full on and no release of the BlackBerry Tour 2 / 9650 is to be had as of yet. But, thats not to say there isn't still news and rumors to be posted about it.

The keen eyes of the Twitter world provide us with the latest tidbit. Mike Lawson has spotted, which was reported by Berryscoop the installation files for visual voicemail for the BlackBerry Tour 9650 directly on the Verizon servers. No telling exactly how long it's been there or what might one do with it since you can't exactly go out an pick up a 9650. But lets all just hope it's a new edition to the VZW website and it means the BlackBerry 9650 is closer to getting all official like on us.

Best Buy Letting Tour 9630 Stock Deplete?

According to some whispers heard by Boy Genius it seems as though Best Buy is selling off all their BlackBerry Tour 9630 stock and not planning on adding any more to replace the sold out item. Now, while it's pretty much safe to assume the reason for this is due to the fact the Tour2 will be releasing at any point now. It's not however, an automatic assumption that the original BlackBerry Tour is to be discontinued.

Seems quite a few people are jumping on the rumor and taking it to the limit. If anyone thinks the Tour is going to be ripped off he shelves never to see the light of day again, think about all the other devices that are still selling while their successor devices are there right along side of them. You can still buy BlackBerry Pearl 8100's and BlackBerry Curve 8310's not to mention original BlackBerry Storm 9530's (If ever there was a device that should be....err..nevermind). It's simply another variation of BlackBerry that some users will opt to buy into, especially after a price drop.

BlackBerry Tour 2 9650 Appears In CellBrite System

Some information for those out there that are awaiting the release of the BlackBerry Tour 2 aka 9650 aka Essex. If you have been holding out for the Tour 2 your waiting may soon be over as rumors abound claim the Tour 2 should be arriving anytime soon now. Be it this month or next, that window of release is there as a rumor.

A often used indicator for this is when devices get loaded into CelleBrite. CelleBrite can be used as a collaborative POS system, but also has the capability to allow transfer of contacts to and from wireless devices. It's used by quite a few carriers in their stores. This time around though, seeing the Tour 2 loaded up in there and given its source, being that of a Verizon tipster, it's safe to say that this one came from within Verizon. That's all we have for now folks but as the day gets closer we're sure well see some more release information pop up.
