Leaked: BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.0.1.13

If you fancy running a beta version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your computer then today, is your lucky day. BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 6.0.1.13 has shown up online and actually carries some noticeable and noted improvements with it. Some of the finer highlights include:

  • Microsoft Outlook & Exchange 2010 64-bit are now supported
  • Administrator silent install
  • Organizer sync improved
  • Wi-Fi sync streaming now supported for over SSL (BlackBerry 6)

Personally, I'm not one for using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. I just simply use AppLoader for everything and just do wireless back ups but a lot of folks out there still make use of BlackBerry Desktop Manager for syncing and organizing. Have at it if you're among those who still use it. Let us know in the comments how it's working after installing.

BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.0.0.47

RIM quietly rolled out an update to BlackBerry Desktop Manager for PC today. The latest version available is now 6.0 B47. This is the first update since the original release, and as is the standard there is no change log available -- most likely just the usual bug fixes in this one. Sadly Mac users get no love yet again. If you're still rocking an older (pre DM6) verison of Desktop Manager you should definitely get on this one and see what the buzz is all about. Head over to the BlackBerry page to download. If you find anything new drop a comment and let us know.

The latest and greatest adds some cool features and a totally revamped design as well as support for the Torch 9800. Updates include:

  • An improved, simpler design for the software
  • Added BlackBerry Media Sync features to import and synchronize your media files (music, pictures, and videos) from one location
  • Option to synchronize your music by artist and genre
  • Support for the BlackBerry® Torch 9800 Smartphone and the BlackBerry Curve 9300 Smartphone
  • If your device is using BlackBerry Device Software 6.0, you can use the Wi-Fi music sync feature to download or remove songs from your computer's music collection using your device when you connect to your home's Wi-Fi network
